This works well for tracing designs where you need to be able to see your design on your work materials. It's easy to use and I found it helpful for adding my designs to wood so I can use my wood burning tool to create ornaments and signs. The width of the paper is great for larger projects. The paper is fairly sturdy and it can be used multiple times which is economical.

I am very happy with my order of Black Waxed Carbon Paper on a roll. It is nice to have such a large roll to customize the size you need for larger projects. I used to have to tape smaller pieces from other brands together for patterns and paintings on canvas. The lines are very dark without having to press very hard making it easy to transfer a design or drawing to your substrate. The product is suppose to be erasable and this is easy on some surfaces but not others. When I tested some transfers onto stretched canvas with a dry acrylic paint undercoating already applied, the lines erased very well with a gum eraser and rubber eraser. When I drew lines onto heavy watercolor paper, the lines did not erase. I tested painting watercolor paint and thinned gouache over the lines and the wax in the transferred line repelled the paint. When I tested using acrylic paint over the lines, the paint covered the lines without being repelled (still showed through a bit with a transparent or translucent acrylic color). I really like that this paper can transfer such a dark line vs. other brands that make your transfer very hard to see. I suggest doing some testing with the art supplies and substrates you will be using before getting started. While erasing didn't always remove the lines, it definitely lightened them. The transfer paper responds well to using different pressures of drawing so this is a way obviously control how dark the line will be that you ultimately want to cover with paint or other art supplies. Good value for the quantity in the roll and will last me a long time!

This is an effective graphite transfer paper. I have never used them in a form of a paper role though. It is a bit tricky to cut only the size that I wanted, as I'm used to just use a single sheet (letter size) at a time. However, it is quite good and each role can be used for multiple applications.

This Graphite Transfer paper works really well! I was impressed with the amount it transferred. It's very pigmented and transfers from the graphite paper really easily. It doesn't require a lot of pressure to transfer the graphite either. It does say it's erasable, but it definitely doesn't erase easily. So that's the only downfall if you need to erase mistakes. I'd just make sure you trace lightly, otherwise you'll have a difficult time erasing it.It definitely comes with a good amount of paper and you can reuse the pieces you have already used, so this would last you a long time. It's 17" by 30ft, which is nice and large. It would definitely cover bigger surfaces, without any issues. I would definitely recommend this transfer paper!

This paper works well to transfer designs to a surface. You can use the same piece over and over for quite a long time, so if you keep them from getting wrinkled up and thrown away too fast, you can get a lot of use out of them. I have had them before in pads, but this is great because you can use it at any length/size you need. If unfamiliar with transfer paper, give it a try - all you do is put the pigmented side facing the surface you wish the design on, lay your design over that, and trace with pen, pencil or even a pointed wooden stick. It works on other things besides paper, too, so it could be used to trace a design onto wood for wood burning and there are many other crafts that would work with it as well. This is a good basic art tool to have on hand.

I wanted some transfer paper to copy some images onto watercolor paper. The problem with watercolor paper is that it is pretty thick and doesn't cooperate with printers. Plus a lot of printer ink isn't waterproof. This transfer paper did really well. It doesn't smear with water, so that was awesome. I will be able to copy images I like from my sketchbooks without having to wrestle with my printer's copier section. I would say the only drawback is that I was not able to erase a couple mistakes I made. But that's okay. I now know to be careful. This paper is pretty easy to use. And it's wide enough for my needs. It's easy enough to trim. I'm happy I ordered this.
