Perfect for needed use. My daughter attends art school and needed this for her water colors. She said this is exactly what was needed and perfect size for taking to and from school. Not too small and not too large.

As is it's excellent for a travel set. 14 half pans are more than enough for a limited pallet. I added five empty half pans down the middle. It fits easily into my accessories pouch. Quite frankly it is better than many more expensive alternatives. The white enamel inner surface protects against rust, and there surprisingly little 'beading ' of paint when you use the mixing areas. This is a very good product.

After consulting with my painting instructor and comparing similar products I'm glad I chose this one. Paint colors stay separated and in spite of its compact size it holds more than enough for a full day in the great outdoors! Would buy again, recommended.

It arrived on time and was just what I was expecting. I haven’t put it to use yet but I think it will work fine. I like that the pans are easily removed and replaced.

The product arrived very quickly, even earlier than expected. It’s a nice palette. Love how the center pops out for more mixing space. The only problem with it is the lid doesn’t stay closed very well ,bit risky to travel with it.

This palette is everything I hoped for! It is all metal, it feels solid and well made, it has a little loopy on the outside so you can hold the palette comfortably, the left compartment folds over the pans to protect them when not in use, and added bonus it comes with 48 empty half pans for endless customization. Will update my review later once I can see how easy it is to clean.I did notice there were some scratches on the inside of the palette. This was INSIDE the palette which was carefully boxed and none of the pieces rub together so there was no way this could have happened in transit. Kind of annoying but considering how great of a product I got for such a low price the scratches are not a deal breaker for me.

I did wait to do my review after receiving my replacement item. The first one that shipped ended up having a defective in part of the pallet. Customer service was really cool and sent a replacement which was not defective. There are more pods in there then described (I got the 48 pod one but there was a fee more than that). It holds the watercolors very nicely and they don't leak and bleed together which was a big plus for me. The container even allows me to store a paper color template for referencing color shades. Its great because the watercolors in the pods don't leak on it.I do reccomend if you are filling the pallet for the first time (or refilling), that you leave it laying open so the pallet can "breathe" and the watercolors dry properly in there.During daily use. I can just close the pallet right after use and they dry perfectly fine.I also like the fact that it has to fold out tin pallets with indentations in them so I can use it for the different colors I use. The only downside is the paint will stain the tin if left on there for continued use. I didnt have a problem with it effecting the other colors when I used new colors on top of it. I used a wipe to clean it off. Since they are connected to the pallet. It can't just be run under water as it would compromise the watercolors pods. The tin come with a nice ring on the bottom side of it in case you're looking yo hold it stationary in your hand. I personally don't use it but it's nice to have. The overall container clasps shut very nicely and hsd a sturdy closure which is great for travel. These are really great space saves for throwing in an art bag. I always look for great products that travel nicely because I do bring them with me to an art studio I attend. Its alot more convenient that carrying around a bunch of tunes.I will say the watercolor pods are smaller with the one I got but thankfully with watercolors. A little goes a long way.Anywho, I really reccomend this product

I really like this little palette. It's perfect for plein air and studio painting with plenty of room for the extra colors I've accumulated. I was able to fit 26 half pans in mine. Plus, it's more economical to pour my own pans than to buy prefilled ones. Some metal paletts have razor sharp edges that can be quite dangerous but this palette has rounded edges so I dont have to worry about cutting myself. It fits both half and full pans and I was surprised at all the mixing space it has to offer. The only thing I dont like is the little rust spots worn or chipped into the enamel coating. They're located in and around the mixing wells and I worry this will cause rust to flake off in my paint at some point in the future (this is why I removed 1 star). Make sure you let your pans and any paint in the mixing wells dry completely before closing the lid or rust and mold may become a major problem. And it's worth mentioning that the company logo on the lid is a sticker decal which I was able to cleanly remove from the palette with a finger nail. I originally thought the logo was printed on but thankfully I looked a little closer. The travel palette looks so much better without the red label.
