Simply wasn't paying attention when ordering these. They are not a common bracket that's screwed or bolted to a wall or stud, but for a slat wall system where the bracket hooks into place and held by the slat design. They might work for certain wire racks, but maybe not as stable. There is a provision for a screw, but in most of the applications I've seen, it doesn't need to be used.While the ad shows the manner in which they are used, am including it here for clarity without having to scroll through the ad.All of that said, they are well made and very sturdy plus can be adapted for use as a conventional bracket by shimming. That is how I'll have to do it because there are no plans to buy the slat wall.

I wanted to add a couple of additional shelfs to my slat wall setup, so I decided to give these a try. They are MUCH nicer than the ones available at the local brick and mortar store and have a nice rubber grip to hold the shelves in place. I was so impressed by these, I replaced my old ones with these, as I'm much more confident about their ability to hold up the weight.

Ordered these to add some versatility to my slat wall in my workshop. The kit comes with six brackets and six soft plastic grips that are meant to be installed on the top edge of each bracket to prevent the shelves from slipping when in place. For a slat wall that's a pretty good solution, since you might not want to do anything permanent to sections of a shelf if you intend to move them. I would have appreciated a way to More-securely fashion a shelf to the brackets, like a screw hole at the back edge or something. These are good for light duty applications but since the shelf will be free to move or tilt on the top surface, I would caution against heavier items or things that will be moved or accessed frequently.

These heavy duty steel slatwall shelf brackets are built to the highest standards with a nice powder coated finish. They look great on the slatwall entrance to my photo studio and the silicone strip that fits over the top edge is a nice touch which helps the wooden shelves I installed to stay in place more securely.

These shelf brackets function identical to the ones I purchased from a professional display fixture store. The metal was just a tiny bit thinner but caused no functional difference and was actually a benefit for my unique application.

I used 3inch screws to hold these into the wall, but otherwise they work perfectly. I have about 80lb on the shelf being held by 2 brackets.
