Im not a pro at DIY led lights but I also dont claim to be.This thing works if you take your time with it, as for me I ended up with my LED lights flipped the wrong direction in the middle of the pull, so would like to see a better design that allows for mess ups to happen or corrections to be made. All in all if you get it to work it will look nice. As for me I need a different product that is more universal and not a one time pull.

Product is not that great. It is to tight for ip65 rated lights.

Diffuses light for different angles as expected. I would highly recommend using ip30 or less led strips bc the rubber coating on ip65 led strips creates too much friction with the silicone and you'll be lucky to pull in a foot of leds before the string breaks. Don't worry about having waterproof/ resistant leds with this anyway. Once inside the silicone it will be much better off than any ip65 rated led strips. You can save money getting the ip30 ones anyway. Have 2 people when pulling in the strip to keep the silicone as straight as possible especially when pulling long lengths. After all that you'll be happy with the result.

Ok - I put my full 16.4m 60led per meter strip into this silicone channel (UCS2) by myself in about ten minutes, here are my top tips whether you're doing it solo or with a partner.1 - it is critically important to get the first ~5 leds into the channel from the end you're starting at. It's also crucial that you have it fit properly in the thin part of the channel that holds the strip perfectly.2 - I was doing this solo, so I securely tied the string to a doorknob in a large room, and GENTLY pulled from the other end and really took my time to be careful when I was pulling to be very steady. This allowed the silicone to stretch a bit (why they recommend two people to pull, so you can create tension). I'll be darned if it didn't slide right in and it looks great, glad I got it done in all one piece. I recommend this if you're willing to take your time when putting it together.

I put my Govee #H6144 (no epoxy coating) led strips into this to make them waterproof! As you can see it's not spotless. I wasn't expecting it to be as these Govee strips only have 30 leds per meter. Almost impossible to get the spotless look with that much space in-between. To pull them through its easiest to have two people. I tied the string tightly around the strip just past the first led and for extra security I ran the string under the adhesive on the back side of the led strip. We lay the diffuser out straight pulling it slightly taut but not stretching it. One person pulls while the other ensures the led strip enters cleanly. Yay team work! I can't wait to get them hung up in our screened porch. Oh...I also put a little Silicone caulk on the ends to give them a good water tight seal. Might be over kill but I just wanted to be safe rather than sorry.

I actually really love this silicone strip except for one major issue for me. I got this to run as one single strip around the interior of my van. The directions on this page say to attach the string to one end of the strip lights, then pull them thru at the other end and boom! you're done. Well, I guarantee you, this will only work if you are cutting these strips down to very small pieces. Because it's silicone, which is not slippery like plastic, it grabs hold of the strip when pulling thru a long section. My string broke on the very first try, even tho I was going slowly and carefully. I ended up having to run a utility knife all along one end and insert the lights sideways into the silicone. I will now have to run a bead of silicone all along that slice to fully enclose it. So just beware if you are planning to use the entire channel as one piece as I am, there will be a few extra steps (and money) to make this work. However, it does look much cooler than the plastic channels that most people use. Hope this helps someone.

I re-built some designer light fixtures to replace 24" fluorescent tubes with warm-dim dimmable LED strips. Main problem is the Muzata silicone seems to filter desired light from the LED strip, making light appear TOO YELLOW. You can see in photo with & without the silicone, I used high CRI (95+) strips 1800-3000K cut from same batch and roll: the LEFT SIDE is a bare strip showing excellent 3000K white color, MIDDLE is 3000K with silicone cover and shows more yellow (MUCH MORE YELLOW in real life vs. photo), RIGHT is the etched glass fixture cover. Otherwise, the round USC2 tube is awesome how well it dispersed and diffused the LED strip light pretty evenly (I used 2 strips facing 90 degrees apart per fixture). Easy to insert 10mm LED strips into 24" cut tubes.
