These angled plates are becoming more available from different companies. I've tried several, as I have several Teles. I'm buying these from now on, because they are just as nice as the expensive ones. I bought the first one a year or so ago, and there have been no issues with the plating.One note is the switch slot is a little more angled than others. I like this, but it's a close fit. Also, I i don't think it's mentioned, but the volume knob hole is moved back a bit. Also a plus for me, but those with Fender S-1 pot may need to remove some wood for the pot to clear. I did on my Elite Tele.

I found myself struggling fast switching from bridge pickup to especially middle position, as my pinky would bump into volume knob and could have mess its setting. So I decided to try this one with a slant cut, as it gives a slight angle and more space between the switch and volume knob to more comfortable switching in live situations.Many thanks!

I ALSO USE A TIP ON THE SWITCH USED ON STRATS WHICH FRIENDS HAVE TOLD ME THOSE ARE THE WRONG TIPS FOR A TELE AND I TELL THEM THAT " IT'S MY GUITAR AND I WILL CHANGE IT THE WAY I WANT IT " AND THEN LAUGH . PEOPLE GET STUCK IN THESE GOOFY MODES THAT THEY CANNOT BREAK OUT OF . ANYWAY THESE PLATES ARE GREAT HOWEVER YOU MIGHT HAVE TO TAKE A SMALL CHISEL TO GET ENOUGH CLEARANCE FOR THE SWITCH TO NOT GROUND OUT ON YOUR SHIELDING .

I measured a lot before I bought this and it fit perfectly and it is MUCH easier to switch pickups compared to a standard tele control plate.

Ottima soluzione al problema del selettore che risulta troppo vicino al volume.Montaggio su tele squier, la distanza tra i fori di fissaggio non è perfettamente identica.Ho inserito le viti nei fori e avvitato un po' alla volta in modo da suddividere il piccolo vuoto spazio vuoto sulla svasatura della piastrina. Praticamente non si nota il difetto.Unica nota il colore leggermente diverso da quello sostituito.Nota positiva i due potenziometrisono stati messi più vicinibtra loro per distanziare ulteriormente il selettore dal volume

Great idea, but the slant for the switch is too extreme and I couldn't fit the electronics in the cavity without routing some wood. I decided not to do this since I didn't want to route the guitar. Great idea though as long as it fits our instrument.

UPDATESomething kept bugging me about the weird, rubberized-like finish of this control plate. It would never shine. Would never look clean. Felt rubberized.So I ended up ordering another one and it was flawlessly perfect.What I think happened is, the plastic it comes wrapped in; somehow “transfer” to the metal paint. I say that because when I unwrapped the new one the plastic wrap was detached. The previous one, the plastic was stuck to the metal and I had to “rip it off”.I wonder if the previous one was laying around in a very hot place for a while, resulting in the issue with the plastic wrap.Anyways, new one is gorgeous so updating my review.—————I’m confused about this plate.The shape and fit are both great. Love the knob placement and the angular switch position.What’s weird is, it doesn’t look truly black. It looks more like a dark, dull charcoal color. And it is metal, but it doesn’t feel smooth like metal. It feels sticky like plastic.So, I’m confused if this comes from factory with a plastic protection layer. All I know is I’ve tried and tried to see if there is a plastic layer to be removed, but nothing. And the dull nature of the color is throwing me off. It never looks clean. It’s always smeared in fingerprints or something, which don’t clean up, like if there was plastic between the finger and the metal. Very strange.
