Yeah it works now. I wasn't able to get the guitar cable to fit all the way in even forcing with some pressure but not a lot. it hung out about 5/16" to 3/8". I finally got fed up and pulled it out as far as I could and jammed it home and it went all the way in. Seems to still work, but I will probably still replace it.As a revision to this, the company has contacted me and replaced my part for free and was very kind in doing so, the customer service they have it great!

I have been an electronics engineer, sound engineer and musician more than 40 years. My day job is Research and Development in Technology and Computer Science. I also like to keep things simple. When I realized one of my favorite bass guitars - Dean Edge 4 - needed a new audio jack, I figured I might have the part on hand. I had several options on hand but not a barrel jack. Time to restock. As usual on Amazon there are many options and price ranges. Again I needed sometime simple, cost effective and made well enough to last.Based on a good description, good photos of the item to determine the quality, good price point and good reviews I decided to try this one. When I inspected it upon arrival it lived up to the description as a good quality part.I have cracked open and repaired or rebuilt many guitars and bass over the years. Some are simple and easy to figure out and others can be spaghetti. The Dean Edge was not bad, but as a good practice I traced out and inspected all the connections from the jack on. No cold solder joints or wire issues. One easy way is a simple multimeter and a replacement male 1/4 inch mono jack to test for the - Tip and Sleeve(Ring)...then just trace those. Mine was white wires for the tip and black wires for the sleeve. Next test the same for the new replacement. I marked the tip and sleeve solder points on the end of the new jack with a marker. Keep in mind the new jack was both mono and stereo, meaning one connection will not be used. Even more reason to test and mark which connect was which.Rest was just desolder and remove the old, guide the new in, remember retaining nut first, tighten nut, and solder back up. Then retest to ensure correct signal for both tip and sleeve. Fire up the bass and test. The sound and signal quality was factory new again and I did not miss the crackle, pop, fuzz out of the old one. I expect it will be a number of years before have to replace this one.

This was actually a really good jack! The main thing I see on cheap jacks is that solder often won’t stick. I didn’t have that issue with this. Solid connection. So far so good. I’ve used this brand several times. Good experiences.

If you know you need this, get it. It works fine and I'm glad this bass has a jack like this...It's a sturdy design. I would love to mod an SG or other front jacked guitars with these as they are just right.

Lo he instalado sin problemas en mi Cort Custom Pro (Replica PRS Custom 24) de 20 años. Comparado con la salida original de tipo abierto, el sonido es ahora más claro y más detallado. Muy contento con el resultado.

Replaced failing jack on an Ibanez miKro Bass guitar. Fit well, but had to reuse old o-ring... the new one that came with the jack was too large. Jack also came with a thick pick (thicc picc?) as an added bonus. Happy with this purchase!

The contact points in the back shift like crazy. I hear a crackling noise whenever I plug my bass now. I'm not sure if that's caused by those moving parts. I ordered a new one elsewhere.

I had previously purchased a stereo jack for a bass guitar I was modifying. The problem I had with that one was the placement of the short "Hot" connector was too close to the tall, ground connector. This mono jack had everything spaced perfectly and soldering all of the wires was a breeze. For my purposes there was really no reason for a stereo jack and the mono one works great
