Just received this brown tortoise shell pickguard. I must be lucky because it fits perfectly. Absolutely no issues. My pickguard went on a new Fender Player II precision bass. Can’t speak for other brands or models. Just slightly redder than my Fender American Professional II precision bass brown tortoise shell pickguard. Can’t say one looks better than the other. You should take all your strings off when replacing the pickguard. Makes life easier. I would recommend if you have a standard type American or Mexican P-bass. Again, everything was perfect. Delivery was slow. Didn’t know this was being shipped on a “slow boat from China”.

Oltre le aspettative, ben sagomato senza sbavature, plastica perfetta e lucida, la tinta è bella e mi sembra corretta rispetto all'originale 👏👏👏👌

I ordered this pickguard for my 25th Anniversary Squier P bass. It fit perfectly. There is one less screw hole than the original and all but two lined up perfectly. I simply drilled 2 new pilot holes and all of the included screws went straight in. 15 minute makeover made a bland guitar look great.

Bin echt begeister von diesem Pickguard. Habe einen Squire Fender Precision Bass und selbst die Löscher für die Schrauben passten genau.

Perfect fit for squier p bass, screws are much better quality rather than the oem ones.

This pickgaurd fit my P-bass very well with no adjustments needed to get in on, however, it is slightly lifted toward the nobs and jack on the bottom (I think the holes were just slightly off). But, it still works and isn't at all noticeable when you look at it head on. It's well made with only being slightly thinner than the oem pickgaurd. Definitely a fun and easy way to add some style to your set-up!

This pickguard is very well made, looks amazing and the price is excellent!BE AWARE: there are TWO layers of protective plastic film to remove. I peeled off the first layer and thought this sheet looked dull; but luckily I realized that there was a second layer to remove. Looks absolutely fantastic now!

I had read other reviews stating that others had to file their pictures a bit to get them to fit, but I took a chance and tried this anyway. I have a 2022 Squier Affinity Series PJ bass. My pickups barely fit through the hole, and even when squished on they had to lay perpendicular to the body, not on a slight slant like they should. I could see the corners where each pickup should sit were a bit round, so I filed them into nice crisp corners. Still too tight. I then filed each edge of the pickup cutout, and it was still way too tight. At this point the opening was beginning to look a little ragged, and my file had scratched the surface of the pickguard twice. After an hour of filing, I finally got it close enough to fit without misdirecting my pickups away from the strings. That's when I noticed each screw hole was a bit off from where my stock pickguard's were. I finagled each screw in, but that extra tension caused the plastic top buckle a little, which was super obvious when light reflected of it. I also noticed a fairly large gap between the top of the neck and the pickguard. Awful fit and finish all around. I put my stock pickguard back on and threw this thing in the trash. Spend the extra money to get the genuine Fender part that will work on the first try, and look so much better.

O pickguard é de excelente qualidade! O furos dos parafusos e pickup ficaram encaixados perfeitamente, no meu Fender PB 2012 MIM.

i have a 2 color pj bass, i thought i would give it a try because it does only states it will fit p bass. the cut outs for the pickups were off and would not fit. I could have filed the side that was too tight but the other side had too much of a gap. everything else lined up perfectly. the quality of the pickguard was very good, my loss. i put my black guard back on and will live with that.

I bought the tortoise shell pickguard for my 2018 Fender MIM 50's precision bass. My bass came with a 10 hole gold anodized aluminum pickguard rather than the typical 13 hole plastic pickguard so it was a bit of a gamble whether it would fit or not. The fit was good with a couple of exceptions: In order to have all the screw holes filled, three holes will need to be drilled in my bass- I expected that. Also, there is one hole where the edge of the control cavity is right in the middle of the screw hole - not enough "meat" for the screw to hold on to. I'm guessing this is because the cavity is cut slightly different and the stock pickguard does not have a screw hole in this location. The concencus is that this will fit a standard precision bass fine, but note that if you have a something other than a 13 hole standard precision bass, you may have minor issues with screw locations, easily remedied by drilling a few pilot holes. As far as overall quality goes, I have no complaints. The cut is accurate and smooth, it's surprisingly thick and heavy, and it's very nice and flat. Here's the big issue and the only reason I didn't give the pickguard five stars: the tortoise shell is not the same faux tortoise shell you'd find on a genuine Fender product. As other reviewers have stated, it's just printed on. I don't see any pixellation, but the image is dull and flat and lacks the depth of a "real" faux tortoise shell. If I had known it looked like this before I bought it, I would have ordered the solid black. In fact, I'll be ordering the solid black, but until it arrives, this is good enough to stay on my bass.TLDR: Quality is good especially considering the price, but stick to the solid colors and stay away from the tortoise shell ones.
