This works well for pretty much everyone but me. Mosquitoes are always extra attracted to me so it does not fully do the job.

I have a pretty heavy population of mosquitos around my property and purchased these so my wife and I could sit on our deck without being bombarded by the flying beasties. It worked great for the first few minutes, until yellow jackets started to swarm... within a few minutes there were 5 yellow jackets not only flying around, but crawling on the candle itself. Apparently bees are attracted to lemongrass, which is one of the most potent essential oils in this candle. Not sure if we will be sending this back or, just placing on a corner of our deck instead, but just bee warned.

I read reviews before I bought a two pack. I got concerned when a review said theirs melted in the heat when kept outside. Umm, NO! Maybe They had a bad batch??? I live in Florida where our heat index is of 100+ degrees & leave it outside on my patio table. It has not melted or turned to 'liquid'. It smells nice & helps with bugs. I literally cannot stand the smell of citronella. It will turn my stomach and this is a nice addition to my thermacells. I'm also on a lake & skeeters are vicious come Sun down! I say buy it!

Lets face it, this is not an infallible method of dettering all flying pests. It's not meant to be. And yet it's still great at it. I've been inundated with flies given that I'm parked next to a garbage can doing repairs preventing me from moving the vehicle that I'm converting right now and also living in. I couldn't open my door without getting a bug flying into my van, And I have a mesh net too that I'm using to help. It's almost as if they were planning it with synchronized watches. Pop open that candle and I encountered maybe 95% less bugs, specifically flies my arch nemesis. It was honestly incredible I was so amazed because I've used to leave other brands especially ones that are more focused on citronella only. This was incredible by comparison. I'm in and out of this van all day long and you can see that I have on the left a UV thing that's completely full of bugs but it didn't get any more yesterday. So the UV plug with a sticky pad is supposed to be the safer one yet I'm using this candle and doors because it's just that good of a scent. The candle took care of my bug problem, and it didn't feel like I was suffocating me.

I don't hava a screen on my home office....so my dog can go in and out....but then, so do the mosquitos! I have been burning this all day just outside the door on a little table and did not get one bite. The next day I didn't burn it for about an hour or so and got 3 bites!! So, yes, it works and I just purchased some more! The smell isn't your normal citranella, it's much more pleasant.

Always skeptical about new products and take reviews w a grain of salt, but I purchased these for an up coming trip to "mosquito-ville" and thought I'd try them in the cabin/camper.(Recently saw a camp hack where it's advised you use these INSIDE your camper to keep the bugs from even wanting to enter.)I fired one up, prior to the trip, in my shop, where I have a huge problem w those "daddy long legs" bugs.One night, I had them buzzing about a light and thought I'd try one of these in the shop.I didThey were gone within minutes of me lighting one of these and placing it inside w me.The oder, to ME, is pleasant and most predominantly is citronella, but not overly powering. I do smell a hint of the lemongrass, which I believe cuts down on the typically over powering citronella. Again, for me.I did buy a few more.I hope this helps someoneUpdate; Did a road trip through Pacific Northwest, Alaska, Yukon, British Columbia, etc and did the aforementioned hack of setting one up in my Bus each night. I got confident enough that it was working, that I would leave the slider door ajar for airflow with minimal bites throughout my entire road trip. It seemed to stop the mosquitos but there was this annoying little non biting, buzzing gnat that it did not.

Perfect repellent mosquitoes candles I spread them all over the place for our gathering outside and it served everyone so well no mosquitoes at all great product
