First thing I tried with these shears was to prune my rose bushes. They did an excellent job, cutting through thick canes cleanly and with minimal effort. Handles are aluminum and very lightweight. The shape is a little unusual but works well with my large hands even with leather gloves on. I wouldn't call them precision tools as the pivot joint had some play in it and the tips didn't always align. Not really an issue for the intended purpose.

These shears are poorly made. The hand grip on these shears is so wide and uncomfortable that I could only open the scissors one inch. Only the tip of the scissors cuts so they're useful for light trimming. The tips also don't close completely so there's no way to snip small cuttings. The price is outrageous and I definitely don't recommend these shears.

Really good scissors: you can use them for indoor and outdoor plants, but they also work great for the kitchen, and even for sewing tasks. They have a nice weight to them, and are really sharp. They are also comfortable to use during extended periods of time. Really great, versatile scissors.
