Great little fume extractor. Fan is strong and seems well built. Only thing is I wish it was taller. I sometimes have to prop it up on something when I am working to capture the fumes.

The MUIN Solder Fume Extractor with 3-Stage Filtration is effective at removing solder fumes and keeping my workspace clean, which is essential for my soldering projects. The three-stage filtration system does an excellent job of capturing and neutralizing harmful particles, ensuring a healthier environment for me to work in.However, one downside of this extractor is that it's very loud and noisy during operation. While the noise level doesn't affect its functionality, it can be disruptive and bothersome, especially during long soldering sessions.Overall, while I appreciate the effectiveness of the MUIN Solder Fume Extractor, the loud noise level is a drawback that I wish could be improved. If noise isn't a concern for you, then I would rate this extractor higher for its excellent filtration performance.

This little thing works even better than larger fume extractors. It's a little louder than others but it works well from 6 inches away, which is where other extractors in the $25-$100 range fail. My only suggestion to the manufacturer is adding legs so it sits higher, but that's easy to fix by setting it on a box.

This has been helpful while working on electronics in guitars and pedals. It has been pulling the fumes from almost a foot away. Definitely recommend this to anyone soldering as a safety measure.

Husband needed something for working on his stained glass when soldering. Seems to be working great! Minimal noise.

It sucks up some fumes, but the range and area is quite short. The filtering also seems suspicious.Works to move the fumes away from your face, but isn't enough to safely solder without any other ventilation.

Was a waste of money for my pyrography Hobbie, might try hanging it above my work to see if that helps but it does not draw the smoke in well enough just sitting beside the work, might be okay for soldering

What do you expect from a small unit with a 120mm fan? The unit must be placed close to the fumes and above to get the most out of it. That means some sort of stand or hanging it off something. It is a trade-off between size, noise and available bench space. It produces noise as any fan does but is not excessive but I wear hearing protection if using it for longer than 10 minutes. The unit is nicely done! The front comes off easily to replace the pre-filter and the carbon filter. The hard plastic housing is sturdy, though it may not survive a fall to a hard floor.Honestly, a 140mm or 200mm fan is needed to capture more fumes. Air flow is needed in the right spot. I watched many video reviews on larger units that don't do as well as expected considering their size. Even those with horns and flexible tubing don't seem to have the airflow needed to capture all the fumes. And those units tend to be rather loud!In summary, for me, placing it above the fume source helped to get more fumes. I use a lighted magnifying glass that diverts fumes from my face. I tend to hold my breath while applying solder. This unit is well built and worth a try for the price.UPDATE: placed in front of an AMSCOPE SE400-Z microscope on its base and it works well. I added some upholstery floss in front - would reduce air flow but hopefully capture most of the sticky fumes. Also, I modified the MUIN fan to have a mini toggle switch as I don't like on-cord power switches. (I don't recommend doing this unless experienced.)

Have so loud noise and not suck fume smoke. Unuseful think. Do not waste your money.

I have to solder things where I have space, and that's not always near a vent. When the solder first touches a hot soldering iron, a lot of the rosin core is visible in the air. This device seems to draw it away very quickly. I do tend to move the "billowing" iron close to its intake initially, but over time, I notice the smell and visible fumes are pulled out of the immediate vicinity. So, it works. It is not huge. It is not extremely powerful, but I feel powerful enough. It is rather small and easy to place. So it is a good choice for my level of activity.
