Some other reviews stated this as being type K tubing, but that does not appear to be true. I ordered the 1/2" OD tubing for a project under the impression that it was in fact type K with 3/8" ID. A measurement with my calipers came up with 0.450" ID and 0.025" wall thickness which just won't work for my use-case. Wish I would have known all nominal dimensions before ordering...or before starting to work with it.

I am not familiar with the standards for soft copper tubing, but this is exceedingly flimsy. It's already in an oval shape when you get it due to being made into a coil and it's well neigh impossible to cut it with a tubing cutter as it squashes when you try to tighten the cutter. Hard to say whether we'll be able to fashion it into the bends we need. I wouldn't buy it for anything that calls for more than minimal strength. You get what you pay for. Later. Gave up. Sent it to recycling. But I did review the quality standards for copper tubing and I recommend anyone else trying to make something to do the same. In most cases, people probably want to use Type "L" or Refrigerator quality (which is what we bought and used) if they are trying to bend tubing for a specific application.

Worked well for what I needed. It was soft enough to straighten out easily. However, it is difficulty to cut with a pipe cutter with out damaging. It could of been me just bulling through to quickly. I ended up cutting slowly on my chop saw with a metal cutting disk. Much cleaner cuts. And I mean slowly. Push to hard and the tube will deform.

Thanks to the reviewer who listed the actual length and diameter for the tubing (how could the seller have left it out?!). It arrived in a timely fashion, and it meets my needs. What else can I say? It didn't make me more handsome or popular, but that's a bit much to ask of copper tubing, or any tubing for that matter.
