Gave as a gift and was told this thing is phenomenal. The “giftee” loves it, has tried to spill it filled with water and says it does not spill even when held upside down.

This is made from some thick plastic. Only possible issue is that the lid is a little hard to get off, leading to a possible mess if you aren't careful.

From a guy who has dipped for 40 years, something I did not take into consideration was that the hole is to small to spit your chew out through. Therefore you must empty it every time and clean it because the top gets pretty gross quick. My bad, I’ll keep it in the truck. You might say just take the lid off and spit it out, but that lid is on pretty good and you risk spilling it on yourself or wherever. -

It measures 4 3/4" across the top and 4 1/4" from bottom to top. The base is weighted heavily so, even if it is tipped fully on it's side, it rights itself. There is an included and attached funnel which directs spit into a 1/2" hole in the middle. The funnel is tight fitting and will not spill even if spit accumulates to near the bottom of the funnel. Cleaning is very simple. Just pop off the funnel, dump the jug in the toilet then rinse out the jug and funnel in the sink. Very well designed and constructed for it's purpose which is a pot to spit in.

Mud jug is a great thing for dippers. Makes dipping fun again!

Decided to buy this after the third incident involving a Gatorade bottle full of spit getting knocked over and emptying its contents into my computer keyboard. The Mudjug was cheaper than a new keyboard. It is most definitely spill-proof, as advertised, and looks much more attractive on my desk than a transparent drink bottle full of spit.My only complaint is the snap-on lid/funnel. It's extremely tight-fitting, which is of course necessary to make this thing completely spill-proof. Unfortunately, this also makes it nearly open-proof. Because I have some wrist problems I need to resort to a pair of pliers to pry the lid off (I worry that this will eventually damage the lid), and even that is quite difficult. I would love to see a version of MudJug with a screw-on lid/funnel.
