The vest runs long (from my point of view). I purchased the size 8 for a very tall 6-year-old girl who absolutely LOVES this vest The vest hangs well below her hips--covers her bottom completely. The fleece is a thin fleece but perfect for wearing indoors in Minnesota. The flowered vest is adorable, and she wears it with jewelry. Very happy with this purchase.
