MTM Survivor Dry Boxes are designed for those extreme environments. The tongue & groove construction uses an o-ring for water-resistant dry storage. The built in compass will always be there when you need it. The signaling mirror on the bottom the dry box is the same size as the US armed forces receive in their survivor packs. Double padlock tabs. Lanyard attaching points, to tie it down for rafting trips, ATV's etc.. The dry boxes use a triple latching system for the best possible seal. The Survivor Dry Box makes a good ammunition travel case due to its size and shape. The box follows the TSA guidelines for a lockable ammunition travel case. Made in the USA.

I ordered this after seeing a glowing review on a YouTube video. Went for the smaller version to start with to stick in my kit bag. Arrived almost a month after its arrive by date with no reason why it was delayed.On first impression it’s a good size and sturdy, no issues there. When I unclip the 3 plastic latches , they go off at different angles and almost come away from the product which is annoying. Not as robust as it should be!

Bought this to store my cigars for travel. With a couple of humidity packets inside, it does the job well! Nice solid snaps, no water got inside even while accidentally left in the rain. I'm happy with it.

Esta caja es para munición, me parece, pero yo la he estado usando para guardar herramienta de mi moto en los viajes y ha funcionado muy bien, por dentro trae un empaque que impide que le entre agua a la caja y hasta ahora ha funcionado a la perfección, trae también tres seguros para que la caja cierre así que aunque uno de ellos pudiera soltarse todavía te quedan otros dos para mantener todo cerrado y estanco.Me gustó mucho, es de muy buenos acabados y se ve muy resistente, incluso compré otra de casi las mismas dimensiones, sólo más alta, y también es muy buena para guardar, por ejemplo, baterías de litio si te vas de viaje, porque no se mojan ni están expuestas a la intemperie.

The "dry" box is an alright item. It is pretty robust regarding design and is very water resistant but I found after experimenting that this feature gives way once a fair amount of pressure on the outside pushing in causing small gaps and water to enter. Not docking the product a star because of this as it is embossed inside "Water Resistant" and does an excellent job for that aspect. My complaint is that it took contacting Amazon (very helpful and quick by the way!) to order a replacement as the first one that came was missing the clips to actually secure it close! After getting the second unit (all clips accounted for) was I able to use/test it to see if it would hold up for my uses...and it does! Quality control needs to be stepped up as this could be a great 5-star product once the missing clip issue that, after reading other reviews, is a common problem. My use case are for a dry box organizer inside my expedition bag for items that really can't be compressed/squished and that I'd prefer to be kept dry.

Item arrived in great condition.Unwrapping: What can I say? There is nothing to open or unwrap. It came as-is and in mint condition.First Impression: It s BIGGER than I thought. The latches are tight, the seals are compressed. Yes, it's not 100% water or air tight, but that is not what I intend to use it for.Pros: There is a reflective foil underneath that serves as a "signal mirror". It may get scratched up with use, but it is a nifty little feature that is not advertised. The materials are well made, latches line up perfectly, and the perimeter seal is even. Has a small locking loop to attach a small lock or zip tie to keep contents out of the reach of children. It's also made in the USA, a big pro for me.Cons: The smell upon opening the container is a bit overwhelming. It is not quite ready for immediate use if that would be bothersome to someone. I've left it in the garage to air out overnight, we'll see what happens.Suggested Uses:1.) First Aid Kit --> Very good container for a travel or car First-aid kit. The rugged container will protect the contents. Remember to throw in some desiccant packs to prolong the life of the contents.2.) B.O.B. Organizer --> Bug Out Bag. This is fairly light weight and useful to keep contents separate in a B.O.B. Good container to put MRE's, Radio's, Batteries, matches, etc.3.) Travel Bag --> if you travel overseas, this little box is pretty light weight and can protect the contents inside a bag well. You could conceivably use it to put your tooth paste and liquids and such to protect them from spilling out into your luggage.

This is a very good little dry box for boating/camping use. However, it is smaller than I thought i would be. The dimensions are clearly stated, and they are accurate. I just wish the bottom was a little deeper with a shallower lid. This would allowed me to use more of the volume easier. No star deduction, because this was apparent with the pictures and description.I would not say this is waterproof. This is a dry box. When used in conjunction with silica packs, this should keep your stuff dry in a humid environment such as a boat compartment. It floats. As long as you dont submerge it, it should keep your stuff dry. It probably will be ok for a quick dunk. However, do not expect it to keep water out if you keep this under water. This is a dry box, not a waterproof box.Overall, the box seems to be good quality. The hatches, general material, etc., are all good quality for this price. Mine did have a couple scuffs on it, but that really doesnt take away from the product. This is going to get dinged up pretty good in my use, so I feel that it it pre-broken in. I have no complaints on that.The compass is a POS. Lol, seriously, a magnetized needle on a leaf in a plastic cup full of water would work better. If you buy this, do not expect anything out of the compass. It is decoration only. This was my expectation going in, and the compass met that expectation.There is a reflector on the bottom. It is something, though not a replacement for an actual reflective mirror when in distress.This box could work for many things. I use it for a med kit for boating use. You can fit a small first aid kit, plus a few extras. You will have to be creative in how you pack it. Because the lower part is so shallow, it is difficult to keep things where you want them. It ends up being easier to put it all in a bag and then place it inside. Too many loose items and it will be hard to close the lid.Overall, I am happy with the product. I would buy this again. Although, since I already have this one, I would probably get the larger one on a second purchase for boating use.

très bonne qualité et facilement arrangeable dans un sac de type Seibertron Falcon étanche Militaire Armée ( acheté ici sur amazon )... , j'avais prix celui là pour les documents d'identité et papiers importants, je viens d'en prendre un autre pour les radio UHF/VHF et autres appareils...C'est donc en toute logique que je sois pas déçu...mais pas du tout....................
