I ordered this after my love for MTG was rekindled and I needed to restock all my cards and deck boxes. This deckbox is sturdy and well built. The side panels to display commanders is a nice addition.

PLEASE READ EVERYTHING! My opinions, correction suggestion’s and i guess review of this product. This is not me bashing the product just a slight errors that bug me as the consumer that I noticed and would like fixed! My only complaints are for the dimensions for the decal playmat portion. Overall everything else is seems very well made storage wise (It DOES fits sleeved cards and unsleeved standard size!!) and overall it’s build quality is very good! A almost perfect product I’d say for mtg. BUT now for the elephant in the room, the space/boxes for LIFE TOTAL, LIBRARY, EXILE, GRAVEYARD, COMMAND ZONE AND COMMANDER TAX ARE ALL SIZED WRONG! I know we are working with limited space but with what it is now, it’s not even worth putting the given layout which is a huge waste! Because it’s a great idea needs to be edited.I’ll provide some correction suggestions because I loved this concept and I’ve never seen it done and I want it to be even better! You can google the layout placements of playmat for mtg, size of the cards and etc for ideas or heck reach out to me I’ll give you some ideas. But Right now it’s ultimately ruined for me once I realized the incorrect layout of the playmat lids given placement don’t line up. Even if it’s shifted sideways because then it doesn’t line up right even then could help for fitting it because the limited space. Not a big deal but noticing this disappointment me enough to not like playmat lid (because again I’ve never seen the idea before) as much as when I first opened and quickly glanced it. I am very detail oriented and probably a perfectionist so perhaps it’s probably just personal preference.USE THE SIZING Below to remap and resize the right portion of the playing field! With sleeves because everyone who plays card games uses sleeves!66.5 x 92.5 mm is the standard sleeves size, my favorite sleeves DS as reference of course(not sure if I can name the brand)(63mm) by (88mm) is the standard card size(6.35cm) by (8.89 cm)(2.5 inches) by (3.5 inches)

I ordered one of these since I have a growing collection of magic the gathering commander decks. I've had individual deck boxes up until getting this, but they were starting to multiply as my collection was growing and I needed something else to keep everything together. Higher quality single-deck boxes are retailing for 10-20 bucks each which adds to the cost of an already expensive deck build, and for the price of two or three of them, this case can replace the need to buy twenty (yes twenty). This box is super cool. Each of the rows can hold 4 single-sleeved commander decks perfectly. I haven't tried with double sleeved cards, but I would probably assume you'd need to drop down to 3 decks per row because of the added size. Essentially, if you have more than 4 decks that need storage, this is immediately a better deal than buying a separate box for each deck.I was really impressed with the magnetic lid system that acts as playmats! What a cool bonus feature. For someone who plays with a group at home on a regular basis, this is a wonderful way to bring one thing out and keep the table clean. Most commander games are four-player experiences, so this won't cover everyone at the table, but for friends who come over to play without their own decks and or mats, this is a real wonderful addition to an otherwise high quality storage case.If you are not intending to use this to store commander decks, like maybe you're a baseball or yu-gi-oh card collector, be aware that the rows are sized pretty exactly for traditional MTG sized cards with sleeves. You'll have extra room with YGO cards since they are smaller, but if you use top-loaders for high value cards or graded slabs, this cannot fit them in any orientation. Some other magnetic storage options out there can, but this isn't one of them. Considering the magnetic playmats specifically mention lands and the command zone and commander tax, this is obviously a targeted product for a specific type of player or collector and a specific format of Magic the Gathering, so I don't expect this will disappoint too many buyers, but I know some folks like to keep their commander in top-loaders so they're easy to separate from the deck itself. If you need space for that, look elsewhere. The box is sturdy and stackable, and the outer surface has a nice grippy texture, and the magnets are very strong. There is a brand logo (Stepane) on the outside embossed into one of the side flaps of the magnetic lid flaps, if you're a stickler about those kinds of aesthetic details. The texture would not allow for any labeling to stick very well on the outside, but considering the 4-deck 5-row layout, 20 commander decks is quite a large collection for many players so labeling may not be necessary if this holds your entire collection. If you run a game store and let customers rent or borrow decks, it comes in a bunch of different colors which CAN be seen while the box is closed and used as an identifier though. One of my only disappointments is that the rows are so specifically sized for sleeved cards that you can't place your existing deck boxes inside of this larger collection storage case. I have another case with fewer rows but they're wider and taller, so it can accommodate them, but you will need to rely on the included divider cards for separating decks within the case itself, or different colored sleeves, so its not a huge loss.Overall I'd say it would be a great gift for any commander player in your life, especially one who has a big pile of cardboard storage boxes in the closet, since an investment of that value is worth protecting with a storage case of high quality, even when the 50 dollar pricetag is greater compared to cheaper cardboard and shoe box alternatives.

These deck boxes work. Magnets are strong enough and the little windows on the side allow you to display your card of choice
