Expensive for what it is. Comes as a single long piece so you have to cut it down and burn the ends as required

I used it for zipper pulls and tent stake pulls on my tent, it would also be great for guylines, the high visibility is really bright and it looks really good at night , never trip over a guyline again with this utility cord.

Needed to add some new guy lines to my tent and had lost my stash of extra cord. Flexible and easy to use, stays in the knots I tie, and good reflectivity in headlamps. I would buy it again.

Excellent cord and the genuine article. Used it to make som extra guys for my Motha Hubba tent. Just a bit expensive for what is basically cord.

I love this chord. It’s lightweight and strong & has a satisfying feel in my hands. Ties easily and holds the knot well.

Ultralite, darn near feather weight. Has reflective material woven into the cord. Well-designed product.

There are at least 2 different products available in 1.8mm cord and several in 3mm cord from MSR. What I received was the Ultralight Utility cord, not the kit. The cord product is a single 10m (32') piece of 1.8mm cord with a tensile strength of 200 lbs. Package says 42g (1.5 oz). The cord is dark red with gray reflective bits. There is another product called Ultralight Utility Cord Kit. This one is a slightly lighter red color with white reflective bits. It's a 15m (49') piece of cord but only rated to 60 lbs vs 200. It includes 4 aluminum tension rings for guying out a tent or similar purpose. Less expensive and possibly a better choice if 60 lbs strength is enough. Also consider (non-reflective) 2mm cord I could buy at REI for 1/4 the price, so realize you're paying for the reflective part. I tested the cord and even though the package never says 'reflective' both products worked very well as long as you hold the light near your eyes (e.g. a headlamp). If you hold a flashlight in your hand at waist height, you won't see any reflection. The kit with the tensioners seemed plenty strong and more suitable for guying a tent. I'd recommend this product only if you need the extra tensile strength.
