To begin with, the MSD ignition parts are excellent and performance is very good. The cap and rotor do need to be be replaced periodically and the replacement parts are well made and last!

This is a quality product like all of MSD’s components. No GM distributor with the advance mechanism on top should be without it. High dielectric strength plastic withe a heavy duty brass contact, this is the market’s best choice for street or strip.
