It was a bit of a challenge finding unsealed wooden spoons to use for wood burning. These work very well with wood burning craft paste. Just be careful not to hold the heat gun too close for too long. After making the design, I wait about 24 hours, then rub it with food grade butcher block sealant. This helps smooth the wood and seals it for use in cooking. I am hoping to find some of these that are just a bit larger. These spoons are not perfectly smooth, but they are pretty close (definitely no splinters). Highly recommend.

These are to be included in gift paskets for 20 people. They will have a wood burned design on the back of the bowl.

The spoon part is too small in relation to the handle length (see picture, I compared to couple of other wooden spoon bought from kitchen store). Also the lower part of the spoon is not shaped as smooth curve, it has 'edges' which looks cheap. If you want to use these spoons for kids creations, they might work for you, but they are not very suitable for kitchen use.
