Nice flexible knife, easy to use and comfortable in the hand. I used it to separate pie crust from the surface after rolling it out and lifting out pieces of lemon tart; it was thin yet sturdy and worked well. I’d have given it 5 stars but there is a subtle taper to the end and because I didn’t dry it immediately it water spotted.A good tool like this should be cared for properly and it should last for many years.

This flexible icing and cake decorating spatula is tiny like a butter knife. It is flexible and does a perfect job for very, very small tasks like icing a cupcake, buttering bread, putting cream cheese on a roll, spreading jelly, etc. There are several things I do not like about this listed in order of its worst features:1 - The packaging label is almost impossible to remove from the knife. I had to use on the blade and a lot of rubbing to get the sticky residue off the knife. The first picture shows the knife in the package. The top label is not affixed to the plastic packaging; instead it is stuck onto the knife as you can see from the second picture.2 - I would not really call this a spatula. This is so small that the surface area is only good for small icing jobs. As you can see from my third photo, it is the same size as the butter knife to the left. The right spatula is my which is a much better buy for the money at the current price of $5.70 compared to this spatula which is currently listed at $4.99.3 - It feels cheaply made.In summary, unless one is looking for a butter-knife-like tool, there are better options elsewhere. However, for small jobs this works as designed and might be worth the purchase. If they corrected their packaging, I would have given this 3.5 to 4 stars.

I guess I didn't pay attention to the part were they say it has a 4 inch blade because I was surprised how small it is. I actually LOVE the size and we find it perfect for adding spreads to sandwiches. The edges are a little sharp so you want to be careful how you handle it. It would be great for icing cupcakes and brownies but it might take a while to ice a full sized cake with it.They use too much glue to secure it to the cardboard it's packaged in and I had to spend a few frustrated minutes scrubbing at it even after I'd soaked it for over a half hour in soapy water. It does finally come clean and it rides along very easily in the dishwasher with all of our tableware.I love it.

This Mrs. Anderson's Baking Flexible Icing Spatula is perfect for the task and very reasonably priced. So if you are icing cookies or baked goods, using a regular dinner knife works but it yields less than satisfactory esthetic results. You need a flexible blade to get beautiful results. This spatula has a blade with perfect flexibility. Just enough to give it the necessary spring. It's made of Japanese stainless steel, which I prefer because it really never rusts, unlike some of the stainless steel from India and other places. The handle is made of a restaurant grade plastic that wears like iron. I have some restaurant supply steak knives I bought years ago when my kids were small to avoid them screwing up my better knives. Those things just won't die! And I have never had a handle crack or split or fail in any other way except when one of the kids melted the end when he was trying to cook. This is completely dishwasher safe - something I look for because I hate hand washing dishes.Note that this is a straight blade spatula. Mrs. Anderson's Baking also offers an offset spatula and if you do a lot of baking, you'll be very happy to have both in your drawer.

I love this little thing. We're partial to cup cakes rather than full size cakes, and my full size icing spatula has always been awkward to use, but a butter knife is heavy and wants to leave little ridges. Don't judge until you're old enough to have arthritis with the limits it can put on everyday tasks ;)I find this thing so perfect for the smaller baking items I'd be tempted to get more than one, except it's just so easy to wipe off immediately. It rarely spends much time in the utensil drawer, we use it so much. I've taken to using it to spread cream cheese on my bagels which my breakfast 90% of the time, as well as buttering toast. My husband just starting using it for his beloved CheezWhiz (sorry, he's Canadian ;) He says he likes it because it's a bit wider than a table knife, so holds more Whiz so he doesn't have to keep putting it back in the jar for more. It's a strong bit of firm steel with just enough give in it to help you control texture and pressure. The handle is shaped well and is comfortable to hold even with my arthritis. It's just plastic, nothing special, but still well-made.They made an annoying choice with their label - it was stuck directly to the blade and whatever adhesive was used was way more than needed. It rubbed right off with nail polish remover, though, then ran it through the dishwasher. We're finding more everyday uses for it, and with just a quick rinse and wipe it's clean, so it's becoming very useful to us. It's not supposed to compare to a full size spatula, or even an offset. Each has its places, and this one has plenty more than just icing because of its size.
