This item did not work for what I had ordered it for, but I decided to keep it because of the way it worked. Less than a week later here they were perfect for what I needed. I gave it a 4 because of my hands, I hand to use pliers to open the springs. I'm sure a prison with normal strength and flexibility in their hands could work it just fine

Needed these for fuel tank vent hoses on an International Scout II. The hoses are 5/16" ID, regular fuel hose. Don't order 5/16" clamps, they're tiny! This is what you need. Look to be decent quality, and will be much easier to install in the tight quarters inside the fenderwell than worm gear clamps. Anybody using these on a fuel pressure line for anything other than a carburetor needs to use some common sense...they make fuel injection clamps for high pressure.

Not enough tension on them. Was same size as the very old OEM ones I was replacing on new trans cooler hoses. And the hoses leaked badly. Really needed a supply of that size. But can't use the whole bag of them. Poor quality control I'd imagine.

I rated this item 5 stars even though it didn't work for me as it is a solid hoop item that would probably work for others and surely wrap any pipe tight. For me, although the specifications instructions on the item's page suggest to pick a hoop that is one size smaller than the diameter of the pipe, I picked one with an inner diameter the same as the outer diameter of the rods I intended to use it on, and still found that it doesn't slide on without pinching the clamps. However, the hoop clamps are very stiff to be pinched with my bare hands for fitting on the rod - maybe using a tool to pinch the clips would work, but I actually looked for something which is less stiff that could be pinched by hand.

A little thicker than what you would commonly find at an automotive store. Using these for fuel and vacuum lines. Sturdy.
