I don't really get these. I am tool old for this stuff. But the 9-year old I bought these for absolutely loves them. He called this the best birthday present he ever received. That's a 5-star right there! The idea is that you are scientist or may be even a wizard, you add them to the test tube with potion/liquid and shake them and you get surprise beasts. And you collect them, there are so many of them. And then of course you pretend play with them.

My son loves all the MrBeast stuff so he was excited to see this! It’s a cute, slimy, fun little concept, and my son loved the little figurines! I guess there are a bunch you can collect and some that are super rare! Now my son wants me to get more! HahaFun for the kids or for a gift!

My 8 year old son is obsessed with MrBeast, so when he saw this, he got super excited. This would make an excellent gift for any MrBeast fan. My son had a great time adding water and shaking up the test tubes to reveal what characters he got. He's started a little collection and looked at the manual to see which ones he still needs. The directions for this were very easy to follow. They are listed in multiple places (even when you open the test tube for the first time, they are right there on top, which I LOVED). My son even wanted to save the test tube so he could play with it at other times (like make "potions," etc). I have found that toys like this that have a "reveal" aspect are always popular with the kids. My son loved it, so I am happy!

Fizzy dissolving paper! Plastic beakers! Gruesome or gross tiny action figures with a long flyer to find out if you have a limited edition character. There are some instructions for how to play a game with the figures, like toss them in the air and try to catch them in the beaker ... well that is not the most creative idea but I guess if you get tired of playing with the figures, you could try to throw them in the air and catch them, sure. These are hard plastic toys that are in the fine tradition of Trash Pack and Garbage Pail Kids toys, the cute/gross collectibles. You can see most of the toys but the ones that are in the vials are in blind bags and you won't know what they are until you follow the instructions to remove them from their dissolving packaging. Then you can look them up on the flyer to find out if they glow in the dark, have glitter, are metallic, are limited edition, etc. These are fun to remove from the packaging, look up on the flyer, play with, and if you can find someone else who has them, to trade. They are not suitable for small kids who might try to eat them or who might leave them laying around because they are pokey hard plastic.

If your kid likes "Grossery Gang" toys and similar, I think they would really find these fun to collect. Grossery Gang is also made by Moose Toys, so it's not shocking that these are similar. Honestly, I find the theming on these a little confusing. It doesn't seem to be super cohesive as Grossery Gang. Paint work is mid - there are some figures with missing or scratched paint in obvious places. It isn't terrible, and I know that painting figures on a small scale can be difficult. The experiment portion is adding water to the test tubes. Inside there is a paper wrapper that foams a little and makes the water orange when it dissolves. Each test tube 'experiment' reveals 2 mystery figures. Moose actually did a really good job with the design of the test tubes - the crosshair design on the lid lets you drain out all the gross water and rinse the figures without them falling into the sink. Seriously good design there. The packaging suggests playing games with the figures but they really just boil down to "knock them over with the test tube cap" and "throw them in the air and catch them with the tube". So the real appeal of these is going to be collecting all the variations.Of the 12 figures in this pack, only 2 of them were glow in the dark. Figures can be stored in the test tubes which, honestly, is pretty convenient. Each test tube can store 5 figures - I wish there were enough tubes included for all 12 figures. The theming, like I mentioned, isn't super cohesive. It was difficult to tell which "group" your figure would be belong to in order to find it on the checklist. They're all pretty same-y with "gross" designs, military-esque designs, tech designs, and what I assume is Mr. Beast themed designs (Panther, Feastables Bar) and they all overlap a bit.
