I have two of these units in our house. One just failed and the plumber said that it was the heating element. Sure, parts fail but they advertise a limited lifetime warranty so no problem, right?. We bought a new unit (Mr Steam ms400) and will use the one we just took out as a back up for later use after we get the warranty item from Mr. Steam. As a doctor, I spent over 30 years dealing with out ethic insurance companies that used every trick in the book to deny paying a claim. I saw every trick. It was disgusting. But I think Mr. Steam can teach even insurance companies a trick or two in claim denial. Magically, the element had minor corrosion on it so it was not under warranty. Now this is a steam unit in Breckenridge, Colorado, which probably has the cleanest, purest mountain water in the country. Yet Mr. Steam claims otherwise. So my advice to you is to run from this company and this product. Clearly it was not made to last and the company does not wish to warranty any of it. There are numerous other shower steamers out there and perhaps they actually stand behind their product. I had a Delta faucet in an outdoor kitchen fail and called up Delta, not for warranty issues, but just to order an new spray head. Do you know what Delta did? They would have none of it and sent me a whole new faucet at their cost. Now that is a company worth doing business with. Mr. Steam could learn a thing or two from them.

Do not buy any mr steam products. They do work well but they also discontinue replacement parts and do not offer a substitution. I was told that I would have to take out my built in steam unit and replace the whole thing because they don’t make parts after 10 years!!!! The woman at mr steam said we can’t make replacement parts for our units forever. This leads me to believe that they aren’t expected to last.Think twice before purchasing from me steam! Awful company!

I have a great unit built into my bathroom when I built this house. Shortly thereafter the shower quit working. After contacting my home builder he found someone to come to my house and be directed by someone in New York as to how the generator worked. It was discovered the heating element blew a hole in its line. I waited for two weeks for a new heating element to arrive. Then another three or four days to have the mechanical guy come and insert the new unit. Things worked fine for another week or two before the entire generator malfunctioned and quit. Now we had to order a new generator and am still waiting for it to arrive. Since I moved into my new house the steam shower has almost been down as much as it has been operational. Mr. Steam is not a good product and people should be aware of this. Surely there are products in the market that are worth the money paid for them.

We bought this as part of a major bathroom remodel. Building a proper steam shower was an expense that made me take pause but wow, I'm so glad we made the investment. This generator is slightly oversized for our shower and I'm happy that it is. Even when the pipes are cold you have a shower full of steam in less than 5 minutes. If you are a steam shower kind of person you will love having a Mr. Steam. For our home it did require adding an additional circuit for the electrical requirement which added to the cost. Worth every thin dime! Oh, and I called Mr. Steam customer support a couple of times and they were easy to reach and very helpful.

I've been using this daily for about two months and it works fine, this is the 4th Mr Steam unit I've had in different homes we have owned over the last 30 years and never had an issue. The control cable arrived damaged but was promptly replaced. When you install be sure the cable can be easily re-run as that could be the weak point in the design, I didn't realize it was damaged until it had been installed, fortunately our design of the bathroom made it easy to fish the new one in.

I use my steambath regularly. It helps to clear my sinuses and it relaxes my muscles. I use essential oils with it for even greater benefits. It is reliable and fast at producing steam.

Product arrived broken. My plumber removed broken valve. It took 2 weeks to get Mr. Steam to agree to replace the valve. I requested they overnight it on my Fedex account. They informed me it had already been shipped, then 2 days later they email me and say the part was out of stock. They inform me they took a valve off another steamer and will ship it that day. I receive the replacement valve 2days later. I then get the bill for the overnight shipping, billed to me.Some kind of customer service!
