Used this stuff to replace the horrible, easy to tear, paper gaskets for my pellet stove. The only thing that could make this better would be if this company would offer pre-cut gaskets using this same material but customized for certain pellet stoves. They would do a little more work, but could probably charge a slightly higher premium and use less material. I made my own templates and cut my own out. These have lasted very well and I will definitely buy more again once I run out which might not be for a long time since they last a long time.

This is a soft, fixable material. But the bad news is that when used as an exhaust gasket it crumbles to nothing is less that an hour of running. Do not use it for anything that gets above approximately 400 degrees. There is another Mr. Gasket material on Amazon that does work at higher temperatures.

This is good gasket material, but you'll end up spending some time getting it to lay flat so you can cut a gasket out of it. Plan to set it out for a few days with some heavy books on it before you make a gasket. It will go much easier than fighting with the curled up roll.

This was purchased for a very different use than it was intended, so I can't advise anyone on it's gasket potential. However, it is a great weight and it is a beautiful solution for my computer mouse problem. The wireless mouse I use has been very glitchy on the smooth surface of the painted shelving that I have set up as a computer table. The area for my mouse doesn't work for a thicker mouse pad, so I was looking for a solid rubber gasket sheet, like the kind that red or sometimes gray rubber stamps are molded from. I thought that this was a sheet of that type of rubber, but it's not. However, it's ideal for the task at hand and the mouse/cursor are responding beautifully with it. It is thin enough to slide under the base/bar of my all-in-one HP computer which holds it down nicely. I used some Gorilla Tape to secure it to the edge of the table so it doesn't slide around at all when I move the mouse over it.In any event, I'm very happy and I only needed half of the roll for my purposes, so I stashed the other half and told my husband if he ever needed to replace a worn gasket, we had the stuff to do it :)

I got this because I recently installled an aftermarket exhaust header on my Nissan Sentra. The j pipe gasket that came with it blew out in three days and the supplier had no replacement j pipe gasket. I was worried that this would not work and I would have to find another option to get my Sentra up and running.I recieved the package and noticed it showed up nice and neatly rolled like the pic for the add. The label attached was listed as high heat gasket paper for exhaust manifolds. This was a big relief for me. I had read elsewhere you might need specific tools to cut the gasket (dremel or drill cutter). I took a pair of scissors and was able to cut off a corner with no issue. I took the old gasket and traced an outline with a marker. After that I used and exacto knife and scissors to cut out the bolt holes, exhaust holes, and overall outline. The entire process took me maybe five minutes to cut out everything because I was taking my time with all of the details.I attached the gasket to the J pipe and bolted everything back up. I have been driving the car for three weeks now and I do not see any longevity issues with the gasket I made. If you have an exhaust gasket issue I would strongly recommend this.

Gasket works great. Used it for an outboard head gasket. Unfortunately the first 1/3 of the gasket roll was crushed and unusable. If you need the total gasket area do not order this gasket

My pellet stove is a masonry fireplace insert. I bought this product because I was unwilling to pay $25 to the pellet stove manufacturer for a simple white gasket that was 4 inches in diameter. It likely cost 25 cents and the original lasted only one year. The gasket I'm referring to is the one between the stove body and the external exhaust blower. The blower bolts to the side of the stove near the rear and sucks the combustion gases out of the stove and sends them up the 3" chimney duct that I put inside the masonry chimney.I was able to cut this gasket material into the shape I needed with a scissors, including punching the holes where the bolts protrude through. It was thinner than the original gasket material, so I made two and doubled it up. It has worked fine for 3 years now, and I still have material left to make two more when it's time to replace these.I was a bit nervous doing this the first year, but it has worked out great for me.

My girlfriend's motorcycle needed the primary resealed and there are no more new gaskets available that we could find. So was able to make one out of this material. Suggestion use an Excato Knife not a box cutter.
