Got these, because they are longer than the ARP brand and what was needed on the flywheel that I was using.

Major problem...these are 5/16-18 bolts with 5/16" shank. The flywheel I purchased is threaded for metric fasteners. Threads ALMOST match, but not close enough to allow proper setup. Also, the shank is slightly larger than the metric item, resulting in the shank, which would like to act as a fitted bolt pulling into the bolt hole, interfering with the flywheel and giving erroneous torque readings. Also, this interference can break out the edge of the hole in the flywheel. Be certain what you are buying. (Who ever heard of metric fasteners on a 1966 Mustang, anyhow?!?!?! Blasphemy!) In defense of the flywheel manufacturer, this flywheel probably is used in later SBF engines with metric fasteners on them, likely resulting in the mismatch.Edit...no problem with grade 8 quality...I uprated my original note to r stars. But restorers and DIY guys need to know that short of purchasing a complete clutch/flywheel kit, you may have parts mismatch between old SAE and new metric systems, possibly resulting in imbalance at this crucial point.
