I wanted a clip-on microphone for video calls for work since I have vocal cord dysfunction and my voice tires easily. This microphone has helped me reduce strain on my voice. My coworkers have said they can hear me well during video calls/presentations. The cord is very long.

No complaints. Good replacement for my Movo mic that used a USB adapter. No adapter or battery needed as I only use it on a computer anyway.

Its a good little mic. Would give 5 stars however, if you have a lot of background noise just expect it to be picked up. Other than that the sound quality is good and it works as a replacement to my htc vive microphone

Bought specifcally to monitor birdsong using a RaspberryPi and BirdPiNet. So can't comment on it for the usual usage. But I needed something with decent sensitivity, low self noise and decent S/N ratio. And that didn't break the bank. This is doing the job very nicely and is tolerating the weather very well so far, albeit with an additional wind guard added.

I compared three popular lavalier mics available from Amazon - this Move, Maono, and a DeWise. The DeWise has a 1/8" plug so I used a Dukabel USB adapter. I do a podcast (two people with lavalier mics) and find that that lavaliers are a good choice for people like me who tend to move their head from side to side.My computer is a MacBook Pro.The Movo had a very strong signal - very strong. It will cause issues for many people. I had to turn down my input on the Midi and System Prefs to .143! The signal was a little muffled. Not a terrible signal, but a little lacking. The Maono seemed to have an easier to control signal. I set the input to between .6 and .7 depending on the person. It was plenty strong enough for any application. The signal was fairly balanced and clear. The DeWise seemed to work well with a similar setting to the Maono (.6 - .7). The signal is fairly clear and has a reasonable sound quality. It has a bit more on the treble end of the frequency curve. That may work for you if needed.Another word on the DeWise - since it is a 1/8" plug be very careful if you plan to use it with a mixer. They left out a very important explanation. When using that kind of condenser mic, you will need phantom power. But (and that's a big But), you will need a transforming XLR adapter (Rode has a good one) that steps down the voltage to about 4 or 5 volts. If not, you may likely fry the mic.I preferred the sound quality and ease of use of the Maono over the other two. But currently, we are using both the Maono and DeWise together and they work well as an Aggregate mic set up. The Movo is a back-up at best, and we might return it.

I needed a good mic for zoom teleconferencing, and although my built-in computer mic did ok, I bought this to have better quality. I played with the zoom audio settings with our sound check person and found that it worked best on zoom if instead of adjusting the mic manually, to leave it on automatic setting and let the computer take over. So I highly recommend putting it on automatic audio setting! It's a good mic for the money, and you get a clip-on attachment of course that is handy for your tie, pocket, etc., as it doesn't have to be too close to your mouth. In fact on zoom no one even sees the mic as it's just below camera view when I'm sitting. And even if they did see it, it would not attract undue attention. It comes with ample cord length and usb connection, so no worries on that.Overall it's a great little addition if you're having to regularly give talks, presentations, or just regular participation on any teleconference platform.

Updated 3/9/2017When Nuance has included headsets with microphones to use with its Dragon Naturally Speaking products, those headsets have been very uncomfortable. And when I have tried to bend them to conform to my head, they often break. So the obvious solution is a good, inexpensive lavalier mic such as this one, which works well with Dragon. The cord is a bit long for my purpose, but overall, that is not too much of a hindrance, considering the mic is so light that I forget I am wearing it.Once, a fellow climber shared the maxim: whenever you are wearing crampons, remember that you are wearing them. And when you aren't wearing them, remember that you aren't. The same could be said of this mic. There is a danger that you will get up to answer the phone or the door, forgetting that you are connected via a cord to a USB port. Damage can result! Always remember that you are wearing this mic. But if you make this mistake (as I did recently, breaking the clip), consider buying the Tie Clip with Foam Windscreen for Lavalier, Lapel & Headset Microphones like Audio Technica ATR-3350 (Pair), also available from Amazon @$14.95. It fits exactly and is a perfect replacement. With that caution, I gladly recommend this product for utility uses like Dragon..
