The distance b/t the monitor and keyboard is non existent. The screen is inches from your face.

I mounted this on a plywood backboard the wall in our IT room where we have limited space but need access to a monitor, keyboard and mouse. It was very simple to assemble and mount (I'm a 66 year-old-woman with limited handyman skills) and it is very sturdy and easy to adjust. It takes up almost no space in the room, and gives us ready access to the equipment we need. Great purchase!

The keyboard support is not very solid. It will definitely support the weight of your keyboard/mouse, but it moves a lot when you type. For my application, this is acceptable. I'm using in a server closet, so I'm only ever using it temporarily when a server issue arises that can't be fixed remotely. But, I would not want this to be my primary terminal. The shaky keyboard would drive me nuts.Also, note that you cannot attach this directly to the wall. You must have a separate mount. I used this mount -https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000VKCIJU/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1When using this mount, I had to add another 3/4 inch board between the wall and the mount. This is necessary to provide enough clearance for the thumbscrews which adjust the keyboard height.

this is exactly what we needed! we needed something to hang under a monitor in our office next to an x-ray machine. it's very easy to set up. You just put it against the back of the monitor and then put the mount on top of that and then screw it all in together. Then we connected the mount on the monitor to the piece in the wall and voila!! It is adjustable. the whole thing can move up and down in case you want it closer or further away from the monitor and it tilts so it can sit at almost 90 degrees or you can tilt it down at like a 45 degree angle.

So far it is amazing. It works best, I would assume, in combination with either a chair with arm rests or standing. In conjunction with a vertically hinged wall mount and aforementioned chair this is an ideal way to keep a desktop computer without taking up the space of a full desk. The only complaint I have so far is the cord guide is useless and made for what looks like peripheral cords from the 80s.

Works great for my use. Seems sturdy and I love the adjustable keyboard height. Overall I am very happy with it. -1 star because no-matter how much I tighten it up it still droops till it hits the wall.
