if quality control hadn't missed the defective zipper that opens from the bottom when there is any kind of pressure, like when you drop your heels in the stirrups. I'll attempt a repair with superglue.

I'm 5'9 with a 17-18 inch calf. I decided to try men's boots because I knew from the past that the 11 in women's was too small in the foot. I ordered a men's 10 and while I could get them on they were too small and very stiff. I'm also always unsure as to how my foot would fit in the stirrup with a bulkier boot. Another issue was having to bend at the knees and lean forward to zip them. They are sort of molded in this stiff position.

This is a good winter riding boot the only issue I have is the zipper does not zip up smoothly. It gets caught on the leather liner inside the boot that is meant to keep the zipper away from your socks/clothing.
