Motorcraft SW6954 Actuator Assembly was installed and works as it should. This product was installed on the driver's door and worked properly. The original door lock would pop back up when I pressed the door lock button. Now the door works great.

Looks to be a good Motorcraft OEM replacement part but double check the fitment. Does NOT fit 2017+, which there is a model change between 16-17. Furthermore, the correct actuator IS available directly through Ford Parts and is ONLY $12...that's NOT a typo, $12!

Installed a dorman part which lasted about a year. This installation is a total pain so having to do it twice is not what you want. Dont be cheap just get the oem part.

Everything is exactly the same as factory part EXCEPT the wiring plug connector. It does not fit. I opened the package after opening the door panel up and now can’t send the part back. If it’s an updated part, there should be an updated connector with pigtail.

Perfect! My hubs installed 2 of these in about an hour, start to finish. Highly recommend these over cheaper brands. Not worth having to disassemble the door panel if the cheap ones fail.

Fit perfectly, exact match. Not to hard if you're good at figuring things out. No instructions. Little info on YouTube/web. After 30 minutes on line it took about another hour start to finish.

Once you get you door half apart and the door handle out its not that bad, you have to unhook the door latch the one outside of the truck. Once that removed give you a little more site into it and how it works. Now that the door handle is out you have to take the mech out of the door which is a pain in the arse you have squirm Ho! Ha ha! Guard! Turn! Parry! Dodge! Spin! Ha! Thrust! and it is out. There's a little clip on the underside you have to stick a flat head under the actuator and the whole mech will push away from you. Needless to say, I'm pretty handy this was sh!tty to tackle in the end saved some cash and she works great. Don't waste your time on the fakies or you'll be doing this again in 4 months.
