This is the second time I’ve had to replace these on our 2008 ford edge. You can’t go wrong with ford original parts.
Great product worked great!!!!

Purchased MotorCraft Brand after reading fact aftermarket electrical connections did not fit very well. This fan is EXACT replacement for my original. It is a real Motorcraft quality part. Lots of videos on how to install. The new fans spin much faster compared with old fan. Fixed problem of A/C blowing warm when parked at stoplight or parked and pretty much anytime drive less than 40 miles per hour. Just not enough air flow due to worn out fans. Dealer wanted $450 for fan plus $250 to install. I installed in one hour following how to videos. Don't get ripped off. I also replaced drivers side "blend door" as well. You should do both in my opinion. My Edge has just 100,000 miles.

Our 2008 Ford Edge overheated spewing coolant from the expansion tank. No broken hoses, leaking water pump or stuck thermostat. I noticed the main cooling fan was not spinning, only the A/C fan would spin. After running jumper wires directly from fan to battery, I determined the fan was bad. Replaced fan with an OEM Motorcraft RF295. Fan arrived with a broken plastic mounting tab, had to send back for replacement. Replacement took more than a week and I had to get car up and running asap. Was forced to purchase item from another internet vendor that shipped immediately. The Motorcraft RF 295 solved my overheating problem and easy to install.

Perfect fit and great price for Ford recommended replacement part. Watch the online videos on how to replace this. Did this in less that 45 minutes as it’s an easy install for the most part. Amazon will say it does not fit your 2012 Edge Sport, but the Ford website said it did and glad I bought it as it was 40% cheaper than the one that Amazon said “fit”.

Ordered the fan assembly - cheapest does not always mean the best buy. When I got it, the entire bottom section of the shroud was broken off and not repairable. So what now? I could go through the return process and spend 1-2 weeks getting a replacement and drive it to a UPS facility but my car was overheating at idle. Or, I could remove the old fans and controllers and replace them with the new fans and controllers from the unit I just received with the broken shroud. So that's what I did. The new, broken shroud is in the garbage can and the old shroud with the new fans was reinstalled. Not exactly the repair project I expected but it did work. However, the unit should never had broken in the first place.

Worked great for my 08 Ford Edge. I don’t have the tow package and this does come with the modulator. It’s a tight squeeze to remove and install but the only thing you need to remove is the air filter box and bracket. 8mm bolts for that and the fan assembly. Tilt the right side of the assembly out first and just be careful as you wriggle it free. I’d also suggest removing your dip stick to avoid breaking the handle off. Goes in the same way, tilt the left side in first and adjust as you go until it slides into place.A tip to test once you have it all back together is to kick the ac on, the fans automatically come on with the ac so you won’t have to wait for it to warm up.

Wasted money and time on a noisy aftermarket that died less than a year later. OEM is way to go. Better fit, quiet and worth the extra price.
