I tend to buy OEM parts when possible, they often cost more, but the quality and performance are slightly better. In this case I very specifically got the OEM flasher as most aftermarket had user reports of either poor fitment due to being oversize or the sound was too quiet. This one does fit perfectly and works as expected. It's far too quiet though. I can barely hear it at idle with no accessories on and at highway speeds it's inaudible. It is now where near the as loud as the factory flasher. So in this case I will be looking into an aftermarket replacement.

Started to have some weird issues with my turn signals. Sometimes they would blink a few times or completely not blink at all. I bought a generic flasher at my local auto parts store. It fit, but it did not work. This one is OEM and it works. I have not had any issues with my turn signals.

Fixed my intermittent/non-working turn signal issue quickly in my 98 Ford F150 XLT V8 4.6L. Just be aware when replacing this module on same vehicle that there is a multi-function relay module located directly in front of this module that looks practically the same and the flasher module is located BEHIND that multi-function relay. I mistakenly tried to replace the wrong module at first, so don't make the same mistake I did! Plenty of helpful videos on YouTube that will help guide your way.... Takes about 10 minutes to replace. The sound your turn signals make will change, but the signals WILL work!

It's Motorcraft. It will probably last another 14 years or more of tough use. Anytime I've used another cheaper brand to replace electronics in my Ford, I regret it. If your flashers work but your turn signals are intermittent, it's probably this. There are two circuit pathways (Not that easy to get to in my in my vehicle)

Exact replacement for the Motorcraft original part. Not sure if it fixed the problem, but it hasn't recurred since I replaced it. Fingers crossed.

I bought this item because my turn signals weren't working. This is the same item they sell at the dealership, but it is cheaper on this site.
