Amazon confirmed it fit through its filter process. I tried to change it this morning and it does not fit. Thankfully this part isn't crazy difficult to install on this vehicle!

My son’s 2015 Ford Explorer stopped blowing air out at your feet or when in defrost mode. Not a great experience when you live in the Midwest during winter.It took us around 2.5 hours to complete. Make sure you have adequate lighting to do the job and have a right angle flex adapter for your cordless drill otherwise you won’t be able to remove the top two 5/16” hex screws.Once installed everything worked as expected. My son can now remote start the car to melt ice/snow off the windshield before heading to school in the mornings.

Where it fits should have been specified. It only fits drivers side, didn’t figure this out till it was to late to return.

First off, the title for this part is wrong. The part is for the Vent Mode actuator, which is what I needed. Therefore the part number is correct, just bad description.The part is a perfect replacement for the 2015 Ford Explorer Vent Mode Actuator, to change from defrost, face, to floor.Prior to doing this work, you will want to make sure you have a universal drive joint for your socket and the screws that hold the actuator on are 8 mm. It’s a tight fit, so you’ll have a tough time without a universal joint.

Absolute pain in the butt to install but is worth it. We lost the ability to select the vents in our 2016 explorer. And now I can see out of my windshield. If you are doing it yourself watch videos and see what you are getting into. You can do it, just take your time. You got this.
