After eight months of use the solenoid has split almost completely around, leaving me stranded on a 10° morning.Quality Motorcraft part for AutoZone prices.

This is a Ford brand relay. It is said not to fit 2001 F350 7.3. But I bought it anyway. Because I have noticed that by the time it needs to be replaced, the hardware (nuts , washers ) have been overheated. This comes with new nuts and washers, and if you have an earlier truck it comes with new wiring. Fits great. cheaper.

First Glow Plug relay that I have had an issue with and I can't even go back on warranty with it. Mechanic tested it today as I have been having issues starting and he said the voltage was fluctuating and inconsistent.

This Glow plug relay died in the first week of use during a cross country road trip, 3000 miles from home. Product is advertised with a 2 year warranty, which both Ford and Motorcraft have decided they have no intent in honoring. Multiple phone calls to both Ford and Motorcraft have gotten me no-where, all they say is to "have my local dealer replace the product". My local dealer will not help/do anything because "We didn't sell the part". This absolute and utter lack of customer support and service is appalling, especially to customers who ahve a long history with the brand. At least we have consumer protection laws in my state and will remedy the situation through the courts, although for a $50 part this seems like an excessive waste of both mine and Motorcrafts time and resources, but I guess the choice was theirs.....Buyer Beware Motorcraft will fight to avoid Honoring any warranty, (which was fully implied at the time of sale).Authors Note: Buy a screw driver when you purchase this product so you can continue to drive your vehicle, while waiting years for Ford to replace a defective part they sold you.

Put this on a 2001 F350. Like another reviewer already stated, if you have a 7.3, this is a better replacement then the DY861. All new bolts and a replacement rubber boot. Throw the wire pigtail away.

This is oem Motorcraft, i purchased and delivered at a lower price than the local brick and mortar store. I'm very pleased, i purchased this for my 96 f250 powerstroke and it was better than what i had on there before. I would buy again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Arrived on schedule yesterday in perfect condition by USPS. I replaced the previous GPR in my 1996 Ford F250 that had been experiencing difficulty starting and on the final attempt, not starting with a lot of white smoke coming out of the tailpipe (caused by unignited fuel). I had had the previous GPR replaced by a Ford dealership 12 years ago, but decided to do it myself this time. Fairly straight forward to remove and replace the GPR. The new DY860 comes with detailed instructions and a diagram which I followed step-by-step....except for one installation step. The power cable from the battery and the twin wires going to the glow plugs were reversed from the way they were depicted on the instructions. I installed the new GPR using the method used by the Ford dealer because the length of the cables/wires made it a better connection method. Once installed, and the batteries reconnected, I started the truck with no issues. I used the truck this morning, again with no issues. The DY860 is a better choice than the DY861 since they apparently are identical units, but the DY860 comes with the washers and nuts for the two primary posts as well as the red-wired GPR adapter wire assembly that connects to the wiring harness, a GPR insulator hood which I could not fit over the existing power cable, and a black tie to cinch the wire assembly to the glow plug twin wires.....and the product cost less than the DY861. Even if it cost the same or a little more, it's a better choice to replace the previously used washers and post nuts when they are probably corroded as mine were.If unsure about where the GPR unit is located, you can use YouTube to learn where and how to get to it...as well as to test its status.
