I gave this 3 stars because it's a great value. The shims and bearings alone are worth it. The dana spicer kit uses Timkin bearings and it costs more. There were a few issues. The pinion seal with this kit will not fit the super 44 axle even though this is the right kit. Not hard to source a pinion seal, just annoying. For some reason, the crush sleeve with the kit would not crush. I bought a spare that was motive and it worked fine. I could not even get it started in my vise. The last issue was the shims had more variation than I would like. Rough edges and thickness variation had me shuffling around for a bit to find the right combinations. Lastly, the pinion nut with this kit chased threads on the pinion for the whole length. That's a lot of thread contact metal lost and I didnt trust it. Throw the nut away and buy a spicer nut.All in all, I still say it's a good value kit with all needed parts in theory. Just make sure you have access to extra small parts in case.

Came up as a parts set that would fit the 2016 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sport “S” that I’m working on.It didn’t.It is a very nice looking kit, good quality parts/materials all around. That said it is for use on the DANA 44 “HD” axel - which on 07-17 Jeeps is only used on the Rubicons. Now it’s is understood that Jeep/Chrysler calls the factory 07-17 JK NON Rubicon DANA 44 rear axel an “HD” rear axel on their build sheets. In reality it is a “NEXT GENERATION” DANA 44 - NOT a real/true “HD” version. The real “HD” has much stronger axel tubes and also it uses much larger bearings that are pressed onto the outer ends of the rear differential assy (Among other improvements).

Great bearing set. Unfortunately it is for a Rubicon Dana 44, which I do not have. Seller should probably put that somewhere in the description.
