Exact fit and kit needed for my 2008 suburban. Timken Bearing and plenty of shims included.

My only issue is the smallest pinion shim in the kit was an 0.020". The sweet spot for the GM 8.5 8.6 pinion shim is starting with around 0.035" luckily I had some left over pinion shims from a previous install that saved the day. Double checked and none of the shims in the package were stuck together.(edit) went to finish up the gear install and noticed the pinion nut was the wrong size. It fits the threads but the nuts socket size is larger than the factory 1-1/8" and I couldn't fit a larger socket in the pinion yoke. I do not recommend using this kit.

The outer pinion bearing was swapped out for a koyo bearing not to happy...
