I’ve bought 4 of these to keep raccoons and stray cats away from my sunroom. They have worked without fail for many many months. It would be nice if they had a timer though, but they don’t. As they are, they are effective at what they were designed to do. The only down side to them (which would be helped if they had a timer) is that I often forget about them which results in a cold wet shock from time to time.

When I first purchased this, it worked fine. Took a while for me to get the settings right of the sensitivity and all but then a little after a month stopped working. I assumed it was the batteries so I took the batteries out and I said well I’m gonna put the solar panel on it anyway Now that the sun is shining and I got it all together. Turned the water on and it won’t shut off so I took it all apart again I brought it inside. I took the solar panel off. I put the batteries in does the same thing so apparently it stopped working because the sensor went bad I guess and now when you turn it on it just runs like a regular sprinkler so it’s an expensive sprinkler for me to use, but that’s what I have to use it for now. Just a regular sprinkler cause it’s too late to send it back

The motion sensor is stronger one side, weaker the other. After a few weeks it just started to go wacky. Can’t control motion unless I turn it to 0. I so wanted it to succeed as I got neighbors who breed ferrets for a food source no doubt. I just want to scare them out of my yard. Poor product as it wears out too fast.

See below for my original review about a week after installing it. FYI in response the manufacturer reached out to me offering a full refund. I declined saying that I bought it, I own it. But thank you...****************Now a month and a half later....... I really do think its effective and worth the money. There is a trick to success which I have learned...... learn exactly where your pests enter the garden and/or where they go to steal your veggies. The device must be put in a location that easily "sees" that location. You might even have to get sprayed to learn the right place. When you are successful (it took me 4 tries) the device will do a good job. I apologize for my earlier review which was premature. I am now picking tomatoes and enjoying the show when those pests get scared and wet!!*******************What I said a week after I installed it.......I bought this to deter squirrels from picking my small patch of 10 tomatoes. The unit does not leak like some other reviews claim, it does recharge the batteries with the solar cell and it does not waste water since it times out at 5 seconds. BUT it does not "see" the squirrels and therefore does not spray them. Further, if I walk by it quickly (fast walk) it does not "see" me either. To trigger it you must be large and stay in its "view" for a more than a few seconds. I wont return it since it was my choice to try.If you are looking to deter small animals such as a squirrel walking through your garden, look elsewhere for a solution.Perhaps future upgrades of this one will work better. Or you can try one of the other more expensive products.

We live in an area frequented by deer that see our yard as a salad bar. The water repellent is a friendly way to prevent the deer from over indulging. It works great.

Assembly and setup took a bit. It could come setup for a standard hose connection-yeah there are adaptions but most folks just use a hose, not a quick connect. That said, I don't understand why this received any poor reviews. Sensor works great, doesn't leak (as long as you make decent hose connections).

The sprinkler is successfully activated by motion but then does not shut down. The only way to avoid soaking the garden indefinitely is to shut off the water supply. As such the product is not only useless, it is harmful.I registered by dissatisfaction but have not heard back from the supplier.
