So what hard to play. The pieces seem like they'll break easily. Ive don't sudoku before and this was hard to play on the first level. It's would be fun and great if the pieces were easier to use.

This has SO many problems. I don't know where to start. I would do a Pros/Cons list, but the cons are so big, the pros don't matter.Major Issues:- It does NOT check that your solution is correct. I purposely entered a wrong solution just to see what would happen. It gave me the happy music and moved on to the next puzzle.- Puzzles are NOT deterministic. If you flip back and forth between puzzle #1 and puzzle #2, not only do the numbers they give you to start change, but the numbers on any given location change too. It's just creating random puzzles. NOTE: To be clear, I'm only flipping to puzzle #2, so I can come back to #1. I'm not comparing 1 to 2, but 1 to itself.- Harder levels just mean fewer locations given, it does NOT mean that the puzzle is solvable without guessing. It does NOT ensure the puzzle is solvable with the given locations. By "solvable", I mean there is one solution and you can get there by using logic alone.Minor Issues:- There's no switch to turn off the sound or change the volume. Since it doesn't tell you if a solution is wrong, there's zero reason to have the sound.- Some of the pieces are loose. Even putting another piece in next to certain ones will disengage them from the board.- Some pieces are not aligned well. You have to angle some of them while inserting to get them to engage with the board. This is useless for its intended purpose. I may take it apart for the electrical components inside. That's all this is good for.

I definitely had some issues with this product, but first I'll say what I liked about it. First, the product is very well designed. Reading over the instructions I liked a lot of what I read. It has a rechargeable battery, charger provided, which uses a usb-c cord so it's easy to replace or switch out with other device chargers. The concept is nifty where you can put physical tiles into a sudoku board and they will flash at you if you are wrong, say if you have 2 of the same in a row. Neat concept. The controls are pretty easy to understand, toggling difficulty and turning sound off were a breeze. Lastly, though I have not exhausted this product it advertises that is has thousands of puzzles in it. Certainly won't run out before the battery does. Now the issues.First, a pretty silly issue I had was that there was a parental control mode where you can force the child (or whoever is doing the puzzles) to complete the puzzle before going on to the next one. Seems crazy to put that kind of constraint on a fun little puzzle like a 4x4 sudoku. Gladly, it is completely optional and I certainly won't turn it on.Second issue, more serious but in a personal peeve sort of way, is that the puzzles can have multiple solutions. I didn't believe this at first but I checked on a 4x4 and confirmed for myself beyond a doubt that the first of the L1 puzzles in that size has two acceptable solutions. The way I believe this works is that the game will flash at you if you put 2 of the same tile in the same row/column/square and if you have every space filled with no flashing then it counts your solution as correct. This bothers me since I do a lot of 9x9 sudoku and one constraint that always exists in these puzzles is that there is one correct solution. It feels wrong (but is really just different) to have multiple solutions.Lastly, and this one is very serious, one of the tiles (at least, could be more) is a 4 that does not register as a 4. It registers as something else, though I couldn't figure out what. The issue with this is that it will set everything to blinking wrong-wrong-wrong when it is clearly correct. The biggest drawback of this is that you can not do puzzles of the biggest size, 6x6, because it requires you have 6 4-pieces, which this set, because of the defective 4, does not. That hugely cuts down on the number of puzzles you can actually do and limits the difficulty pretty severely. For this reason most of all I knocked off a lot of stars from this product. Needs some serious product QC work to be viable.

This is an electronic version of Sudoku. It is well made and functions properly. The pegs are removable and you place them on the squares just as you would write in numbers on regular Sudoku. The corresponding lights let you know if you are correct. This is great fun for everyone!

We have a large family at church who has one son that is autistic. On Sundays I seem to be his best buddy and he sits quietly with me playing fidget games that I collect and keep handy. This one is his current favorite. Keeps him busy and quiet and gives mom a little time off. We love it as much as we love him. Great value and great quality.
