The electric company didn’t want to install this at the top of the pvc pipes where the wires come in to run down the pole into the ground. This looks way better and more professional so I convinced them to use it where the wires start to run down the electric pole. After 1 1/2 years I am very pleased with it and it still looks nice even dealing with harsh Kansas weather.

We installed 320 class service at our house, needed this for the 3" conduit for overhead service. Worked great and handled the 6 massive wires (we ran parallel wire).

The reason I'm giving this 5 out of 5 stars is that the electrical grade phenolic insulator with multiple holes can be opened up with your thumb! Morris makes the electrical grade phenolic insulator much more robust than the standard Aluminum Service Entrance Caps found at all the local warehouse home improvement stores. It takes seconds to open up the holes. Just use your thumb, of course with a glove. The detail is that the hole plugs are held in place with a very thin layer of plastic around the perimeter of the hole. Just a moderate amount of pressure and they pop right out. No more using punches or chisels and ending up with broken plastic insulator that has to be returned to the home improvement store. Great job MORRIS PRODUCTS INC.!
