I was recommended these seeds by a friend at the gym. She boils hers because she’s allergic to the lecithin, so I’ve been boiling them as well. I eat them with my breakfast sandwich, but if I’m not having a breakfast sandwich, I eat them with a teaspoon of peanut butter, and I cannot taste anything. Since I started taking this, I have been very regular. I was taking all kinds of things to be able to go previously. I’m down to probiotics, and these, and I haven’t been this regular in decades. It’s like a miracle seed! Don’t hesitate to get them! I break the shell, boil them for 5ish minutes and that’s it. Simple.

UPDATE at bottom..I ordered these for my household for two reasons: 1) to plant and 2) to eat.Since there are no instructions on the bag, I had to research online how to do both. I followed the instructions for soaking overnight (sometimes longer) planting and put 10 seeds out the first day and one seed a day for the next 23 days. On day 14, I noticed that our day 4 seed had started to sprout. Unfortunately, it was the only seed to do so and it didn't survive watering the next day. It was fragile. If I have another sprout, I'll know to bottom water only. I'm going to continue planting one a day and will update you, if any should survive. As far as eating...We took it slow, only eating one a day for a week, then increasing it to two for another week. In the third week, we added a third. The suggestions online say to eat no more than three. Here's the thing:: three of what size? Unlike sunflower seeds, these come in a variety of sizes. some are pea size and some are just a bit smaller than a chick pea. So...Does it matter? Should you be eating 3 large or 3 small? If you have only small, can you eat more? They taste nasty. I said it was a mixed review because, on some days, there's a pleasant aftertaste for about a split second before the awful flavor is back. How we combat that is by chewing them thoroughly right before breakfast. By the time the meal is over, the aftertaste is gone.We tried, in the beginning, to wash it down with water, as some suggested, but the water made it worse. And, nothing helped once we used water to wash it down. Flavored drinks--milk, juice, etc.--do help mostly, but after a week, it stopped working for some reason.I'm wondering if there's a gimmick we haven't quite figured out, yet, or if everyone is different. Or, maybe the seeds aren't as fresh as they could be. I'll update this review if we ever get a harvest and can tell you what the difference is between the different stages of the seeds. In the meantime: Would I order again? They haven't hurt. They haven't made us sick. I cannot tell if they're helping, but they aren't hurting. So, maybe. I might have to shop around and see if other brands are the same. If they are, I'd probably come back to this brand. Communications have been good. Let me get back to you on that.UPDATE: I had to take a break because birds or other creatures hated on these. I had many growing, but they were obliterated. They weren't eaten, just demolished. This past week, I planted some under a cloche or two. Auto correct won't shut off. It's definitely two. One held 5 seeds that sank during soaking. The other held 14 that floated. 4 days later, I had two growing in the sinkers pot and one the other, or so I thought. The pictures show what's growing in our freshly solarized soil. One of these things is not like the other. Don't know what's growing, but I didn't see a difference in the seeds except size.I'll keep trying and let you know our progress.

First time I purchased these seeds and I can say that I have difficulties with the taste. After cracking the shells and getting to the white nutlike seed, chewing them makes my mouth burn. A lot. As other people commented drinking water after chewing the seeds make the water taste very sweet. Not a great experience. It also impacts the taste of any other food or drink you have afterwards. If there's health benefits coming out of it great otherwise I stick with the leaves.

Clean, good quality product. Nice packaging -- reseals for safe storage. I'm keeping mine stored in refrigerator with other supplements/nuts, etc. I appreciate the suggestion of eating the seeds with nuts. I ate one without nuts and it was tasty and then there is an aftertaste - but not offensive to me. It's true there is absolutely no aftertaste if eaten with nuts or another item of your choice. I know people who have utilized these seeds and the plants with great results. I have successfully lowered my blood pressure with diet and supplements and am excited to add this natural remedy to my regimen! I'm excited to grow the "trees" indoors as I would like to add the leaves to my salads. Thank you for all you do to improve our lives and health.
