There is no movement of the project until the outer ring is loosened and the project is removed from the inner ring-keeps your project taut while you are working on it. Made of Plastic. Size: 10-inch diameter.

I do a lot of cross stitching, the worse thing to have is a hoop that does not say in place while you are working on your project. I am now purchasing these hoops in ever size, they are easy to use and they do not slip on your work.

I embroider a lot and have had so many issues with tensioning, so I went looking for a better hoop. This is is. I can go for hours without needing to constantly pull the fabric taut and when its done, it doesn't have any of the puckering of a poorly tensioned piece. I love them so much I bought a few sizes and these will be the only hoops I ever bother with. Bonus, I use that dissolvable paper for my patterns and I can rinse and dry it right in the hoop because its plastic - then if I see a place I need to do more work to, I can just keep going.

I have been cross stitching for over 30 years and this is the best hoop I have ever had. Holds the aida cloth tight so that the "holes" in the material are easy to see and put the needle through. This lends to very even and clean looking stitches. Easy to tighten and loosen. The hoop has some flexibility so it takes the stress of the tension very well.

I like how strong the hoop is and how the sturdy bolt and wing nut is easy to adjust and won’t fall apart!

A reviewer said she was throwing away all of her other hoop after buying this one. I don't think its that good, its okay, but I'm not throwing anything away.

I gave up on the wooden hoops as no matter their price and size, the fabric gets loose rather sooner than later. The plastic ones - even worse. Until now that is. To my surprise and delight, the Morgan hoop holds fabric stretched like a drum all the time. Yes, the hoop is pricier and bulkier, but it is still the best of all hoops I have tried over the years of stitching.

This is a great hoop I really like that there is a ridge inside the hoop it holds the material very tight which is important. The screw is easy to access and does not slip.

Man, I have tried several types of hoops and frames for punch needle embroidery. These just work the best hands down. So unless you want a large wood frame and if you want to easily take your project with you when you go someplace, invest in a few Morgan hoops. I've got them now from 5" through 17" and they all work great and all make doing punch needle as well as any other kind of embroidery easier to do and more fun in the process. I use this 10 inch hoop the most, I love it. A good hoop is a definite must have.
