Nice knife. Good ergonomic handle. Thick solid blade., I like the full tang. Polymer sheath adequate and holds securely. The stainless construction is low maintenance and nicely polished. I paid $66 for the one with the basic polymer sheath and found it to be a good value, even if there are people on social media that argue that the much cheaper companion is a better value, I disagree. I think this is much more knife and worth it.

It’s a hefty, well machined, factory sharp blade with a decent sheath, high quality steel, a full tang and a bit of the tang is exposed metal on the pommel end for bashing things what need to be bashed; perhaps windows in an emergency. The spine and pommel both can be used to strike ferro rods and the sheath can be secured in many ways to suit your needs. Can’t ask for much more out of a survival knife, and the knife itself can be easily customized to your needs and comfortIt’s a simple, handsome blade and it feels like it would stand the test of time easily. In my opinion it’s worth the money, even if other great Mora knives can be found much cheaper, this knife is seriously robust.

I spent hours watching videos of people putting this knife through a variety of usage and torture tests, and the results all led me to this purchase. I had a little trouble deciding between the stainless and carbon steel versions, but ultimately opted for the stainless - less maintenance won out over ease of sharpening. Both are great knives, so it's really your choice.Morakniv, or as it's more commonly called, Mora, uses Swedish 14C28N for its stainless knives. It's an excellent steel that strikes a perfect balance between toughness, corrosion resistance, and edge retention at a slight cost to ease of sharpening.I also opted for the multi-connection sheath system that includes a Molle-compatible lashing system for pack-carry in addition to belt carry. Mora's sheaths, like its knives, forego beauty for function, and this one is no exception. The belt dangler is removable and interchangeable with an end strap for use with the Molle carrier option. Some people say they've used the end strap and the belt dangler together, but I had no luck making it work. That said, you really only need the end strap for inverted carry, such as when you lash it to a pack strap. Otherwise, the sheath is a snug, snap-tight fit that I can't shake loose. It's plenty secure as is.Like all Mora knives, it arrived paper-slicing sharp. I've used it extensively since I received it, albeit for pretty mundane household tasks, but the edge is still as sharp as the day it arrived - excellent edge retention. I'm looking forward to testing it with bushcraft tasks. The Scandi grind is particularly well suited to wood processing, and the full tang construction makes it suitable for batoning. That said, with the blade measuring under 5 inches, I don't expect to be splitting logs or doing much wood chopping.If you want to learn more about this knife, you'll find hundreds of videos about it. The most entertaining is the Joe X Mora Garberg destruction video. In it, you'll see just how tough this knife really is under extreme use (you know - stabbing cars, breaking glass, chopping concrete, and bashing metal pipes). It's both educational and amusing!

Das bekannte Messer hat mich innerhalb weniger Augenblicke überzeugt. In jeder Hinsicht. Toll finde ich auch die unkomplizierte Scheide, die immerhin berücksichtigt, dass so ein Messer bei den meisten Nutzern/Käufern mehr im Rucksack als am Gürtel getragen wird. Die sog. technischen Daten muss ich hier nicht wiederholen. Aber ich wiederhole gern, wie überzeugend in Sachen Preis, Fertigungsqualität, Ergonomie und Design dieses Fulltang-Werkzeug aus Schweden ist. Die natürliche Alterung von Stahl und Kunststoff werde ich beobachten/erleben - aber jetzt, vom Start weg, gibt es mindestens 5 Sterne.

Faca bem construída em cada detalhe. Bainha de polímero de alta qualidade e alça para passar no cinto em couro sintético de boa qualidade. Cabo em borracha de alta qualidade e resistência, a faca fica bem presa na mão mesmo em ambientes molhados, ainda tem um furo no cabo que permite usar um fiel. Por último, lamina com fio scand em aço inox de altíssima qualidade, boa resistência, mantém muito bem o fio, que por sinal já veio uma navalha. Uma faca muito versátil, uso para bushcraft e para preparar alimentos na cozinha, realemnte muito versátil. Vale cada centavo.

In 3 orders I purchased the package with MOLLE compatible mounts, with the leather sheath, and now with the honing bar and fire starter.Very impressive knife. It is my favorite of all time.One questionable point and the rest are superb; the MOLLE mounts seem as though in my novice usage, they could be more robust, but it is sound and fits my backpack well (and secondly but not a design issue, just a choice for the consumer, it is not accessible while wearing the backpack, while it also comes with the full POLLY SHEATH belt worn option that is rather sound, snapping the knife in, but does not have a top loop to retain it.) I have never had such a great knife, so robust, and versatile. After the purchase I saw a review of what to select in survival or camp knife, and this fit all the bills. One reason I wanted the leather sheath is partly curiosity to understand if it can be used for stropping to maintain the edge at peak readiness. A stropping back side may be a fine addition for Morakniv to add. As is the leather is bomb proof. The latest with the plastic snap sheath is a great well rounded true survival package. The edge is wicked sharp from the factory. It easily cuts paper, at more of an angle than many demonstrations, but man, I was able to feather the paper with cuts close to each other. This will do just fine with some education and practice on something else to ultimately maintain that exquisite edge.
