these are so awesome that you do not have to pull the grease boot off while pressing the joint back into the control arm. the boot is sucked tight to shaft and doesnt expand until you grease it! definitely a problem solver joint. also has grease inserts and pressed in smoothly . got loaner tool from autozone and pressed in like butter!

Install was easy. Moog is a known brand. We shall see how long they last.

Installed on my 2007 Ford Expedition EL. Front drivers side lower ball joint. The product seems well made and I like that it has a grease fitting as opposed to the one I replaced. This was my first time replacing a ball joint and took a lot longer than I had hoped. I rented the ball joint service kit from my local Advance Auto so it cost nothing for the tool (deposit for cost of the tool that's refunded once returned). I actually ended up not using the tool to remove the old ball joint...just beat it out with a hammer since it was stuck in the steering knuckle. The 3 biggest hangups I had with the job were:1) steering knuckle didn't want to come loose from the ball joint...beat on it with a hammer until it finally dropped loose. A ball joint separator tool may have helped.2) The ball joint got stuck in the steering knuckle (after loosened) because I didn't take the lower nut off the ball joint the whole way. I backed off the nut most of the way, but left it on the ball joint until I broke the steering knuckle loose. The nut was still tight on the ball joint shaft and when I tried to turn it, it would just spin the whole shaft. I ended up hammering out the ball joint from the lower control arm, taking off the entire steering knuckle and cutting off the old ball joint with a cutting wheel. Should have just taken the nut whole way off, lubed the threads and reinstalled just enough to get a grip to keep the knuckle from falling off when knocked loose.3) installing the new ball joint was a challenge because it was difficult to keep it lined up straight when tightening the press. The tool I rented appeared to be very well used and may have had a bend in the main clamp. Once I got it started and somewhat straight, I used a cordless impact wrench to tighten the press tool until the joint was through the control arm enough to put the snap ring on (another pain to do without the right size snap ring pliers).Overall I was pleased with the product and saved at least $300 over having the local garage replace it. Hopefully it lasts a long time because I don't want to replace it again.

I used to moog because it's quality part. Always had good luck with these parts. Just need a good ball joint press. And harbor freight's got a very good one. It's a beast. The right tool always makes the job easier

Seem to be Great Moog Ball Joints, too bad Moog does not use them in the Moog Control arms.Bought Moog control arms, and they came with non-greaseable ball joints, and ball joint nuts that were only retained by 3 nut divots. So had to order these Moog ball joints, to replace the ball joints in brand new Moog control arms, only to get the serviceable grease fittings, and nuts that are retained correctly with cotter pins.Find it a little irritating that new control arms need their ball joints replaced before install, but these are MUCH better than the ones Moog sends on their new control arms, so are worth the trouble and expense to replace, if for no other reason than the security and peace of mind that the cotter pin give that the nut will not back off after torquing.Would recommend these ball joints and recommend Moog use these in their new control arms that call for this size ball joint. In the future, If I need a new lower control arm, I will buy another brand control arm to save the money and press these ball joints in to get the Moog quality.Because it is ridiculous that you have to change them out on new Moog control arms to get the Moog quality Ball joints.

Good sturdy product. Comes greased and with a zerk for future servicing. Fits 07 Ford expedition. The Ford nut will not fit on this unit. Dont do what I did and shear the zerk off when tightening, should be easy to replace but need a new tool yet again.Update: After not too the rubber boots on both cracked open and spit grease out when filling. I would probably just get nonservicable ones next time.
