Writes closer to a .07 than a .05. it's just a hair finer than a standard pilot g2. It is a smooth writer, just not what I was looking for.

This is a good pen replacement that fits Parker Style G2 pens. The darkness level is pretty nice for a 0.5mm pen. The consistency at first is give and miss, however after using it for about 10 strokes, it becomes consistent and even. See photo under "Montverde 0.5mm." I would suggest this pen replacement as a viable option.

It's maybe not quite as fine as I was hoping (I was thinking more like a 0.37, this is probably more like a 0.5) but it's still very fine and man is it smooth. Only used it for a couple days (I take a lot of notes) so we'll see how long it lasts but it's been a pleasure to write with so far. Using it in my LTT Bolt action that takes Parker G2 fills.

These are fantastic. I write citations on 3-part carbon forms and most ballpoint tips, even where I can find 0.5mm, don't do very well in that situation where I need to press very firmly and fit my printing in too-small field boxes. This needle tip solves that perfectly. Ink flows very well, I haven't been able to smudge it yet, and although a little expensive compared to plain stock disposible pens/ink I think it's worth it. Maybe not the best for fluid writing on a page, especially if you like to lean the pen over more than usual. Not sure how long they will last since I'm not writing with them as often or as much.I'll definitely buy these again. VERY happy to find an extra fine needle tip with gel ink for a Parker G2 style...this is a real unicorn, and a great find!
