Love the way it is easy to use. Very well made machine. I’ve owned many calculators in the past 60 years. This one is my favorite!!

I bought this calculator because I thought it was going to be a nice, simple, easy load printing ribbon calculator, HOWEVER, every time I've had to install a new ribbon it will not install easily and ends up tearing up the ribbon! I installed a new ribbon today and after many attempts to get it in properly I thought I had it BUT as I was punching in numbers, the ribbon jammed and got stuck in the calculator and wrapped around equipment that cannot be removed. I had to cut the ribbon and tried pulling out the remainder but no luck! Therefore the entire calculator is useless now. I've only had this thing for about 9 months and went through 2 ribbons that wouldn't install easily. I even bought the Monroe brand calculator ribbon and not some knock off. Very aggravating!

I bought the brand not the model. These folks make the industry standard and I’ve used them for over 20 years. They are priced affordability and they get the job done. Period end of story..

Have used it for a couple of weeks. So far, so good. I have used Monroe calculators at work for eons. IF this turns out to be as long-lasting and reliable as others I have used then this will have been a very reasonable choice. That said, however, there are things that make me wonder if it's truly a genuine Monroe. I ordered a 6120X ivory colored machine but received a black one. According to the Monroe website, the black colored model should have been labeled 6120XB instead of 6120X. The SKU sticker on the box says it should be Ivory but everywhere else on the packaging it says Black. The keypad works fine but has a slightly "clacky" feel. It will take some getting used to if you are like me and accustomed to a smoother touch. The packaging says it was made in Malaysia, if it matters.

After going through multiple Canon, Casio and other brand adding machines I have become disgusted with the sticking buttons and malfunctioning printer. So, I finally broke down and bought a Monroe System. So far I have been using this machine in my business for a few months. The quality difference between Monroe and Canon, Casio, etc. is astronomical. When we wear this machine out (much longer than other brands) we will definitely be purchasing another.

Apparently Monroe calculators are well known for their design, features, and durability. Having said that, my first experience with Monroe isn't stellar, and I can't seem to find any troubleshooting information for paper jams. The included roll of calculator paper is loaded correctly, however the printer often jams on the paper when printing. There is nothing in or on the calculator that indicates damage or mishandling, the box is in pristine condition.I wrote to Monroe for assistance, their reply was to troubleshoot the problem as jamming isn't often a complaint. I have however decided to return the product to Amazon, the product is malfunctioning and as this is for my business I want a product that works properly. I will continue my search for a heavier duty printing calculator.
