This has the worst ghosting I have ever seen in a Moleskine notebook. I usually order a soft cover in this size but I had to order the hard cover this year. Maybe there's a difference in the paper that I don't know about . . .For those of you who know pens: The numbers and days of the week were done with Energel pens. Memorial Day was written with a Flair. The month was done with a Fudenosuke color pen. Focus and Wins were written with Zebra Mildliners. Not pictured: The ghosting was even worse with my Fountain pen. There was even some bleeding on that. In the past, I have been able to use a fine tip fountain pen in a Moleskine but I don't think I'm going to attempt it this year. =(I will try to update a little later in the school year with more pictures.

I recently purchased my third Moleskine Classic Notebook in the XXL size and use it for journalling and planning.Design and Build Quality:The Moleskine Classic Notebook XXL maintains the sleek, stylish design that Moleskine is known for. The hard cover feels durable and sturdy, giving a sense of reliability that is essential for a notebook that travels everywhere with you. Its black cover is not only classic but also professional, making it suitable for business meetings as well as personal use.Size and Portability:At 8.5" x 11", this notebook is quite large, providing ample space for extensive notes or drawings. Despite its size, it is surprisingly portable. The hardcover and elastic closure ensure that the pages remain secure, and the rounded corners prevent snagging, making it easy to slip into most bags or backpacks.Paper Quality:The 192 ruled pages are made from ivory-colored, acid-free paper. The paper quality is top-notch, with minimal bleed-through even when using fountain pens or markers. This is a significant advantage for those who prefer pens with heavier ink flow. The lines are clear and well-spaced, suitable for both writing and more structured layouts like bullet journaling.Features:One of the standout features of the Moleskine Classic Notebook is its expandable inner pocket. It's perfect for storing loose notes, business cards, or receipts, adding an extra layer of functionality. The notebook also includes a bookmark ribbon, which is incredibly handy for keeping your place without having to dog-ear pages.Usability:The lay-flat design of the spine deserves special mention. Whether you're a left-handed or right-handed writer, the notebook opens flat without needing to hold down the pages, making writing more comfortable and enjoyable.Overall Experience:The Moleskine Classic Notebook XXL is a fantastic choice for anyone looking for a reliable, stylish, and functional notebook. Whether for personal journaling, professional note-taking, or creative projects, it stands up to the task with elegance and durability. The only downside might be its size if you prefer something more compact, but for those who need the extra space, it's an ideal choice.

Moleskine makes high quality journals/notebooks. I write using many kinds of pens; ballpoint, fountain pen, gel ink. The ink does not bleed through the pages. The pages are super smooth and a pleasure to write on.Thanks Moleskine!

I like the off white pages… easy on the eyes. I like the size and number of lines per page. One page is generally enough to organize my day. I use a stencil to make my own schedule and to do sections… and the rest of the page to jot down notes pertaining to my meetings or to dos. High quality binding… lasts longer than the 3-4 months I use the 📓.

Should have read the reviews, but was in a hurry. awful quality paper, fountain pen bleeds right through, making the journal only 50 percent useful. i really cannot see why moleskin went to the trouble of making a nice hardcover journal, with utter toilet paper for pages. My moleskin diary had lovely paper suited to ink, but this journal is unusable.

I love moleskine notebooks and I think this may be the best yet. It stays flat when writing. The margins and line widths are perfect. I use pilot g2 pens and they don’t bleed through. Worth the money!

From now on, I will only ever recommend a moleskin journal to my friends. They are durable, clean, and slick. I use mine almost every day, and it still looks new!
