Not What I Expected, But Good QualityI ended up giving this Mogami GOLD TRS-TRS-10 Balanced Audio Patch Cable three stars because it wasn't what I needed. After ordering, I realized it didn’t meet my specific requirements. While the build quality is solid, with gold contacts and well-made connectors, it turns out this cable wasn’t suitable for my setup. If you're looking for a high-quality balanced audio cable and it fits your needs, it might be a good choice. Otherwise, double-check the specifications before purchasing.

musical, carries a bit crisper warmer harmonics. clearer - the audio has depth and definition; pops a touch more. well rounded and goo overall sound resolution. It might be subtle, but does remind of a wav file vs vinyl record. Stats wise, I noticed about 1.5db volume boost and left/right peak channel flux difference of just 0.1-0.4db vs about 1.5db with old cables. I am working towards 500 Series box and I see these as important. There's a difference but there's also different mindset. Good quality sound is non of those.

I have a compact home recording setup with very little space to properly separate power, USB and signal cables. With the cables that came with my equipment, I had unacceptable cross-talk. Since I've moved to Mogami Gold cables, the problem has gone away, so 10/10 for quality. I've only had the cables under a year, and in a pretty static environment, but no durability problems so far. Quite expensive, but I guess you get what you pay for; would buy again

If you need juicy cables for the purest sound quality, pissing off your neighbors, receiving noise complaints for those high volume crispy beloved decibels... these are your cables. If you hate your neighbors and/or just love music and have a great setup... OR have no neighbors at all and are a fan of pure lossless sound quality regardless of volume, this is your cable - end of story. Expensive? Get a job, because you get what you pay for and this is worth every penny! Look no further and break out the CC.

I've gone from hobbyist to professional and back again over the last 20 years as a musician and engineer. I've tried just about every cable that's made, and Mogami is the name that I've found most reliable. Spend the extra money on these cables, it's worth it because you're making an investment. If you take care of your equipment, as you should, these will last for many, many years (I still have some 25 ft mic cables from 10-15 years ago that I use often).

Great cables and beautifully made -- should hold up on the road. I'm very skeptical of Mogami's claims about "lower distortion" (particularly) and reduced"signal loss" (resistance may vary slightly, but within limits probably doesn't really matter). But, so what? They're probably going to hold up a lot better when slapped around, roughly and dragged, which is almost inevitable when setting up and tearing down frequently.

I was dubious about upgrading to Mogami Cables. I had been using pro quality tsr's to connect my digital piano to my DAC without complaint but in the infinite quest to have the best possible quality recording, I gave Mogami cables a go. Most reviews will say the difference you hear is subjective so I will say, in MY EXPERIENCE, there was a vast, VAST improvement to the quality of recording. I am not a mixing engineer I am a musician, so I am not certain if the difference was in the ability to accurately transmit the signal or if the less expensive cables transmitted a low level, subtle electrical hum, or _________, but I do know the Mogami's were well worth the extra $ for me.

These cables are world-class. Pricey for a reason and it shows. Holding this cable is a pleasure. The male connectors and casing are solid, and don't feel loose whatsoever. If you patch into something that is facing up, and the cable has to bend over itself, it will bend in a nice arch that doesn't pull on the casing of the connector.
