Looks pretty much identical to the oem shaft I pulled off except the oem one was stripped. I did pull off a metal strip that seemed to be left over from the milling process. This shaft appears to be of decent quality metal and I expect it'll last as long as the oem one did. If you have an older harley with over 40k miles on it don't be surprised if you need to replace this. Mine luckily went out when I wasn't to far away from home. Was a lot of fun trying to get back home without being able to shift.
