Waited a while to post because I really wanted to give it a fair trial.The pros: VERY COMFORTABLE and completely luxurious. This takes outdoor lounging to the next level. If fits me, my husband, and my ten year old son quite easily. This has become the most used piece of patio furniture and will hopefully stand the test of time because of the...Cons: Pricey. I know similar items cost more, but for a grand, this is an investment piece. I work hard for my money and I expect my furniture to do the same. The base material isn't the sturdiest, (don't try to balance iced-coffee on the table if there will be lots of movement on the lounger) and the fabric is meh. Rain water seems to degrade it a little, nothing terrible, but I am a little concerned about future wear and tear. Will put it in the garage for the winter just in case.Overall - I would recommend this if you love hanging out outside and want a very comfy new favorite spot.

The white interior pillow covers on these throw pillows deteriorated in less than a year. I was removing the covers to wash them and it had just turned to powder which was a hell of a mess on my second floor balcony. The pillow filling also deteriorated into basically a white powder. I had to dump the pillows out in a trash bag in order to contain the mess. I couldnt pull it out by hand because it just crumbled upon touching it. The frame and wicker weave seems to be holding up so far. The cushion is just cheap foam rubber and it is starting to fail already. I expect I will get another years worth of use out of it. I imagine all of this will be expensive to replace with the pillows this year and the cushions next year. I hope the covers hold up or I'm sure it will be expensive to have custom made cushion covers manufactured in this shape.

I haven't had a chance to use this daybed that I purchased for my vacation home but I did unpack it and set it up. It arrived in good shape and the color is great. It is a little lower that a std couch but I don't find that to be a problem. My biggest concern is the custom cut on the cushions and where I would go to replace them once that is needed. 6/2015Two years later I am very disappointed with this product. The fake wicker is peeling off the side of the bed, the cushions are not water resistant and have faded a lot, and the overall look of the unit is bad enough that I will likely have to replace it. I can't recommend this. The fake wicker on this is coming apart on numerous portions of the unit, despite the fact that it gets very little use in a second home.

Looks amazing, big enough for two to lounge or cuddle up. Comfy pillows, light but sturdy. My only criticisms are that the built in table is not firm enough to trust a wine glass staying put and the packaging is huge...all in one big box and strapped to a pallet.

+++UPDATE+++ 6 months later:Ours has not faded at all. To those who say faded - the FIRST THING you should do is hit this with ScotchGuard spray (sold on Amazon too) to protect all cushions and pillows. Waterproofs them and we have had zero issues with fading.Edit - why are they ALWAYS out of stock? Both Lexmod and Amazon never seem to be able to keep these in stock, and at best only a couple color choices are available. This has been the case over at least the 4-month period I've been looking at the Taiji. Is the demand so high that manufacturing just can't keep up? Lucky I got the one I want and that I don't need another one. Anyway back to the review--I love this daybed set. It does seem a bit expensive for what you get - if Amazon produced something similar in its Strathmore Griffen line, with matching colors, and sold it for $599, they would FLY off the shelves! Are you listening Amazon?I'm also a big fan of Carnival's Serenity Area on its newer ships, and yes, as the other reviewer said these chairs remind me VERY MUCH of what you find on the ships, and also impart that great, relaxing feeling. I got two of these, first was espresso with orange cushions and 2nd was mocha cushions. For the life of me, I couldn't remember the cushion color on Serenity deck. Curious? Before you go to look it up, I'll tell you - they are turquoise! I had never really considered that as a color for the Taiji but now looking at it, it really is an awesome color. Especially in the location I have it, which is overlooking a wonderful waterfront vista behind my home.Anyway, was apprehensive to spend $900-1000 on this item. Thought I got lucky finding one for significantly less through Warehouse Deals, so I jumped on it. Was very excited to get it, then imagine my shock when opened the well-worn box to find NO cushions or pillows whatsoever in the box! Nothing on top, nothing underneath, just 2 resin wicker frames. I immediately realized what happened, and it's a pretty grim scenario: The original purchaser of the new item, likely took the orange cushions out of this box, taped it up, then on Amazon's dime returned it for some reason (we don't like the colors, etc).This is no different from walking into a retail store and stealing the cushion/pillow set right off the item! It is a really crappy thing to do b/c not only does it cost Amazon a TON in 2-way shipping costs, but add to that the 3rd shipping cost of my return and the fact that they CANNOT resell it as is. I even called LexMod to see if I could buy a cushion/pillow set separately, and of course they get the whole set as a package from the factory in China so they don't sell cushions separately. Probably, somebody just didn't like the color of cushions they chose and could not return it, or maybe they spilled something on it. Regardless it's a really crappy thing to do and I hope Karma visits itself on them some time in the future.I needed this item for house staging, and through this ordeal lost over 10 days in shipping this one back and getting a replacement.So in sum - a fantastic set, just like Serenity deck. But, Amazon should make a similar one matching their existing Strathmore Griffen line and sell it cheaper - $599 is a great price point. And buyer beware for unscrupulous previous owners if you purchase this used!!!!Update - I've had it for a couple weeks now and like it even more! We use it for a patio that has a beautiful water view, for this purpose it's Heavenly. Really comfortable. But I did have to velcro the ottoman cushion to keep it from moving, and glue the velcro as it doesn't stick to the cushions or plastic rattan. Also, one small negative- pillows are too small to really lean back on, got 4 coordinating color outdoor pillows (22" sunbrella fabric, got thru Wayfair), and now it's true bliss!

I am in love with this daybed. I've been looking around and thinking about buying one for a year or two and finally pulled the trigger on this one. NO REGRETS!! I've had it for about a month now. This was the best price I found anywhere for this bed, the delivery was super easy - just open the boxes and remove some plastic and it's good to go! It sits on my patio just outside my living room windows. When guests come over they gasp and have to run outside to check it out. My fiance, two dogs, and I fit comfortably in it with room to spare! All of the covers zip off so when the time comes it should be easy to clean.I have seen other chairs made out of similar outdoor rattan material crack and break after a couple of years - I'm hoping that's not the case with this one since I invested so much into it, and I've asked the seller if they recommend a cover for it, but have not received a response. I haven't been able to find a cover with an online search. Those are my only concerns - longevity. As far as out-of-the-box satisfaction, I could not be happier!!!!
