This set has such a variety of sheets to choose from. Some are preprinted specifically to make some really cool, colorful paper airplanes. There is a pack of colorful, printed paper to make various things like animals, flowers, pumpkins, etc.Also included is a pack of plain, colored paper, so you can choose the colors you love.What’s awesome is it comes with a step by step instruction booklet, that is very easy to understand.I think the grandkids will love working with this set. They have tried origami, and loved doing it, so this will be so much fun.

This is a nice kit! The included booklet has clear instructions and the variety of included paper is nice, and folds cleanly. There are solid color sheets of paper, printed sheets of paper for various origami creations, and larger printed sheets for making fun airplanes. This kit will get a lot of use with visiting little relatives.

This is marketed as for ages 3 plus (though now I see the listing has different, much older, ages listed, but the box is very clearly marked 3+), which is unrealistic. Even with help, a three year old is not likely able to make the precise folds needed for origami to work. I could see focused 5ish year olds being able to do this with some assistance reading the directions, especially the printed ones, since there are visual guidelines to those.For older kids, I think the kit is a decent start, but was disappointed the instructions are only for the pre-printed designs. I expected a starter of pre-printed designs to get the concepts down, then for there to be more advanced designs for the plain paper.I appreciate that there are two of each of the printed designs, either for sharing or for trial and error. Each is clearly labeled in a low-visibility area with the name and page number of the design, a really nice piece of designing. There is a great variety of solid colored paper, just like I said, I wish there were more advanced directions for some of it.The instruction book is soft covered, but did seem to stay mostly open if the pages are bent all the way. It also includes a link to videos if that's more helpful than the written/2-d directions.And if paper airplanes are your thing, there are a LOT to choose from here!

There are tons of supplies in this kit and projects for many ability levels. The box is labelled 3+ years, but I highly doubt a 3-year-old would have the fine motor control and dexterity to make these origami shapes. Some of the pages are printed with fold lines (easy), some have just color and pattern to guide the folds (experienced) and some paper is just solid color with no lines or fold indications (for the experts!). The printed papers have duplicates so there will be fewer squabbles over who gets to do the snowman or the princess, etc. I selected this set to have on hand when my niece and nephew visit my house. They are 9 and 11 years old, which I think is a perfect age range for this kit.

My nine-year-old has been on this origami setfor the last week. He absolutely loves the variety of things he can make. The book has excellent instructions with step-by-step pictures and he’s able to figure all of them out. I would highly recommend this for anyone who is looking to start origami or just wanting to create a new ideas

this is a pretty great starter kit for kids and adults. The paper is cute, with the pictures already on it to help guide you. They don't always match up exactly but it's pretty darn close. The instructions are pretty easy to follow, but although it's listed as for 3+, i really don't think any kiddo less than 5 is going to have the dexterity to make some of the tiny folds so they would definitely need some help. I could see it as a fun family activity after dinner or something though.
