Having a rig like this makes using a laptop inside a vehicle so much easier than just trying to hold the laptop PC in your lap. So if your goal is to create a functional mount without having to spend thousands of dollars, this is probably a good choice, but there are some issues. One issue is that these types of laptop mounts tend to bounce while you are driving the vehicle since they are not fully supported from all sides. This can fatigue the metal posts and in some cases, this may cause the mount to eventually break. Thus, I am buying two of the supporting braces, on to support the forward momentum and another to support the sideways momentum when I am turning Left. Those supporting braces will help, but to stop the bouncing, there needs to be a way to support the sideways momentum when turning right and to stop the up and down bouncing caused by irregularities in the road. For me, I went to home deport to buy a block of wood to wedge between the center console the the mounts vertical brace, thus giving the mount support from the Left side. I also put wood on my center console, below the extending arm of the mount to stop the vertical bounce. This stabilized the mount so hopefully, it will not get fatigued. So that is a big issue and a bit of a pain to resolve, but these types of mounts are inexpensive solutions so you can only expect so much from them. The next major issue is the lack of ability to rotate the Laptop within a spherical space at the end of the extending arm. This could be solved with a well crafted ball joint, but I did not see any systems with a ball joint so you may have to pay a lot more for such mounts. A ball joint design is preferred and probably needed because the way this mount works, you have to rotate the PC over the center console to get it to the proper angle and this gets in the way of the shifting gear. Thus, you have to reach under the rig to shift the car and that is a bit uncomfortable to do. If this rig had a ball joint, you set it up so that the extending arm protrudes over the passenger seat and then you angle the PC toward the driver seat for typing, thus, keeping the rig away from the center console and gear shifter. If you are willing to deal with the above issues, then this mount will work. If the above issues will cause a problem, you will need to find a more expensive or better designed mount. Hope this helps someone out there! Good luck!

I drive on lease roads everyday. This product was not only easy to setup but holds up to the bumps on the roads better than I thought. I would highly recommend this product!

Very wobbly, even with the additional brace piece. Not sure there is really any solution for that other than permanently drilling/bolting the mount to the vehicle at different connection points. But that would defeat the whole purpose of having the flexibility to quickly remove the mount so it's not in the way when there is a front passenger.I was able to use the twisty handle under the laptop as an additional brace point by basically jamming it to my center console, and then tightening all of the other connection points so the handle remained securely fixed to the center console. This greatly reduced how much the entire mount wobbled. Luckily the layout of my SUV with the position of the center console makes this laptop mount work for me; but without the twist handle pushed against the center console for stability, I likely would have returned this item due to how much it vibrates and shakes around. Also not a fan of the price of the mount compared to the overall quality. The turn knobs and bolts don't seem like they'll last if you have to collapse and erect the mount many times for front passengers. I guess time will tell...

The fit, quality and look was as described and even better! Very strong frame and is way above in quality compared to others like this! I never have any issues and no shaking, shifting, etc. It has easy release to move top out of way of console for access. Holds every size laptop there is. I bought the extra screen holders, however I took them off because you wont need them if the laptop hinge is fairly solid. I love this and get so many compliments. My partner even ordered herself one after seeing mine! Thank you

Super easy to install. It does need the support arm to be steady. Cheap plastic knobs keep coming loose on the platform, might need some loctite like substance. Otherwise, decent product.

I AM SATISFIED WITH THIS MOUNTING SYSTEM. I'M ON THE ROAD AND OFTEN NEED MY LAPTOP TO KEEP TRACK OF DATA OR NEED IT FOR QUICK REFERENCE. I WAS EXTREMELY HAPPY WITH THE FACT THE SYSTEM IS DESIGNED TO MOUNT UNDER THE SEAT BOLTS WHICH WOULD ALLOW FOR QUICK RELEASE.IN ORDER TO OBTAIN MORE STABILITY, I PURCHASED THE ADDITIONAL MOUNT STABILIZER AS I NOTICED MY LAPTOP HAD A BIT OF SHAKING AND WASN'T VERY STABLE WHEN DRIVING. AFTER INSTALLATION OF THE STABILIZER ARM, IT DID REMOVE THE SHAKE. UNFORTUNATELY, AFTER INSTALLING THE STABILIZING ARM IT TOOK AWAY THE ADVANTAGE OF THE QUICK RELEASE BECAUSE THE STABILIZER ARM HAD TO BE DRILLED TO THE FLOOR. FORTUNATELY, THERE ARE KNOBS WHICH YOU CAN UNSCREW THE STABILIZER ARM FROM THE MOUNT AND THEN LIFT THE COMPLETE UNIT FROM THE FRAME, WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE STABILIZER ARM WHICH WAS BOLTED TO THE FLOOR. BUT STILL THE ARM CAN REST ON THE FLOOR BOARD. I AM MUCH HAPPIER I PURCHASED THE 526 MODEL INSTEAD OF THE 426 MODEL.. THIS PRODUCT IS CONSTRUCTED WELL AND I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT.
