11CT is 11 counts per inch of fabric.
14CT is 14 counts per inch of fabric.
For the same design, 14CT is smaller than 11CT. But the 11CT’s mesh is larger than the 14CT, more vision-friendly and easier to embroider.
11CT cross stitch design should be completed with 3-strands thread. One thread is composed of 6 strands, so you need to divide the 6 strands into two 3-strand lines before you work.Please use 3 strands of thread for full stitch and 2 strands for back stitch.

I've only worked on small cross stitch projects before so I'm really looking forward to beginning to start stitching on this large, pretty design.The kit seems to have everything needed you complete the project...canvas, threads, needles, chart, and instructions. The canvas and chart are marked with grid lines to help keep stitching accurate.Pretty colors! This will be relaxing and fun to stitch!

The floss for this kit comes pre-sorted. It has a nice feel to it and the colors are vibrant. For now, I will trust that once done, the stamped colors will come out per the instructions without wreaking havoc on the finished work. If I see any issues at that time, I will update my rating and this review, but for now I am happy with it.

I never thought I'd say this about embroidery, but this kit it totally "plug and play". The threads are already separated and mounted on color chart card. The stitches are already delineated and by color on the fabric so not having to mark your stitches. Just load your needle and take off. I started sewing roughly sixty years agon, using Aunt Martha's Iron-On patterns, on bleached bacon bags that my Mother made. It was really super when you could finally buy preprint linen goods at the five and dime. Where has this been all my life?This is super for a beginner. At this price if you mess up, and I don't think that is possible, you can get another easy peasy. These kits would make super gifts especially for someone who use to embroider and gave it up. Show them how easy it's gotten and they may reengage. Super for people who are recovery an illness or accident, learning a new skill is very distracting. The finished pieces are fantastic gifts also.

This is a good cross stitch embroidery kit. It’s Aida 11, so 11 stitches per inch, and is pre-printed to guide the embroidery to achieve the final design. There’s plenty of embroidery floss and it’s all clearly numbered, which is cross referenced on the table to the side of the design to identify the floss color to use for each square. Cross stitch is one of the easiest embroidery stitches, but every square for the entire design is stitched, there’s no ‘white space’ as there is in counted cross stitch or other types of embroidery, so this makes a very impressive needlework art when completed. It’s at a great price, too.
